11. Hmm, I was on welfare once and it was a terrible experience.

I didn't eat lobster, I could barely afford to buy my food stamps. Cost me $15 dollars for $60 worth/per mo, for two people. I got $185/mo for welfare and my run down trailer was $87/mo rent. On top of that, I was required to work, not a problem, however, it was a government work program at a community college restaurant, where I worked for tips as a server big :rofl: pennies if I was lucky, and I had to supplement my child care. It wasn't a picnic and this was during the 70's. If it weren't for 'shitbag liberals' these scumbag repukes wouldn't have had access to 40 hour work weeks and paid vacations and overtime pay! needed food stamps for about a year when I was young. If we had bought lobster and Pepsi, we wouldn't have been eating for the rest of the week. That story is pretty hard to believe and if true, I don't believe at all that it's something that happens often.

People like him get so angry about their tax dollars going to welfare programs because they don't believe in it, but it doesn't matter that we on the left have to watch our tax dollars (and I pay plenty of them) go to illegal and immoral wars that we don't believe in. Welfare is a drop in the bucket in comparison. But I guess he thinks that he's the only one who has the right to decide where our tax dollars go. Oh, and the only one whose religion gets to be promoted in our public schools.
