Is Fitzgerald's tenure as Special Prosecutor under time constraints?
I thought I read somewhere that Fitzgerald's boss was leaving gov't and that the Bush administration was looking to replace him with an ally to reign in Fitzgerald.

Does anyone have a link to something about this? I can't seem to find anything.

This concerns me. Especially since Fitzgerald has allegedly asked the judge for an extension of the Grand Jury...

2. The boss replacement withdrew his nomination under duress
(namely, being linked with Jack Abramoff and facing tough Senate questioning)

3. I don't think this has anything to do with his job as SP.
That story had to do with his position as an Ill. prosecutor. As far as I know, his job as Special Prosecutor is safe until this case is over!

4. The Grand Jury expires on October 28th

The grand jury considering the case is scheduled to expire on October 28.
...

And there had better be a whole bunch of indictments handed down after two years.
Otherwise I'll be miffed as hell, to put it mildly.
