Ah-nuld's fiscal plan? "Let the rest of the country pay for it."
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/09/national/09CALI.html?hp

"Arnold Schwarzenegger moved quickly Wednesday to prepare for governing, naming a prominent Republican congressman to run his transition and strongly suggesting that he would call on President Bush to provide federal aid to California, now in Republican hands."

Keep your hands on your wallet.

2. Hey we are all in this together
Now that California has, in effect, rejoined the union we have to help them out. Or at least that's the dopey way of thinking that you'll see.

3. Sure, standard practice
As the Busheviks have bottomless pockets to bribe Turkey and other Third World nations, so will they do the same to protect the Imperial Provinces of KallieFornia and Floridius.

Of course, now that we are technically a Third World Nation (and as the years go onward and more of the Old Republic is eradicated, this will become more clear), and the Imperial Subjects of Amerika stand far closer to the Nicaraguans, Iraquis, Iranians, Chileans, and others the Busheviks have brutalized in the past, this is not a problem.

Ask Ed Luttwak, who wrote the manual on how to maintain control of Third World Countries like the Amerikan Empire...

8. BINGO BINGO!
Just like Jebthro's the environmental governor in Florida. The Feds bought up all the off-shore oil leases from Smirk and Sneer's rich oil pals, leaving it for the head BFEE crook in Florida to make a case about how much he cares about the coastlines.

6. California pay much more than it gets.
The figure I have seen is about 75 billion dollars.

The fact is the low population mostly "red" states are
big recievers of federal tax money and the high population
"blue" states are large payers of federal taxes.

Of course this does highlight the fact the Bush was
working hard to screw Davis in the past three years
if he rolls out the green for the Gropenator.

I doubt Bush will do much for Arnold as every dollar
spent in the US is one less dollar that can't be directed
in to his gangs off shore holding accounts.

7. This stinks to payola.
If the feds bail out California, it will be an incredible cycle:

1)Texas energy giants create energy grid failures to try to gouge California for lucrative energy contracts. Gray Davis falls for it. Cheney refuses to help California, saying it's their fault for creating their own mess.

2)Evidence shows that there indeed was some colluding between energy corporations to create California's energy problems. Nothing happens to Cheney, or the energy corporations -- Gray Davis loses his seat.

3) Now that Davis is out of the way, Bush moves in to save the day with federal assistance and everyone forgets that Cheney and the energy corporations were the ones that created the mess in the first place.

But then again, this is a country that still believes Oliver North is a hero, so what do you expect?

9. you SEE how it works????
first Bush's buddies rob us of 9 BILLION dollars, then finance a smear campaign against out TWICE elected governor, blaming HIM for our economic problems.

then, after funding the whole recall fiasco, and getting their tv-friendly puppet-with-no-plan installed in Sacramento, look what happens...

Bush is going to dump a bunch of cash into CA, cash he could've dumped at any time while Davis was in office, and Arnold will be able to take credit for saving Callee-for-nee-uh's economy.

My hero...

11. Hahaha
And yet we're supposed to sit back and wait for Arnold to create a disaster in California... I got news for all the naive people who say that: IT AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN! Do you think they went to all this trouble just to let Arnold fuck up? They'll be sending aid and money hand-over-fist to California and making sure Arnold and Bush get all the credit.

14. I don't think he's "implying" it. He's clearly stating the obvious.
Bush helps his friends and screws his enemies. You're either for him or you're against him.

He feels no responsibility to "citizens", only to "friends".

He wants to hurt "enemies", not "friends".

16. Most of the States in the Union were broke this last year
Here in WI, Gov. Doyle walked into office thinking we had about a $2 billion dollar deficit, and it turned out that it was closer to $4 billion. Bush's tax cuts and deficts have cut the Federal money to the states all around.

Somehow, he's turned in a budget that works with this, without raising income taxes (cause he made a *stupid* promise). Property taxes are going up, user fees going up, etc... But Wisconsin (and LOTS of other states) are literally OWED money in matching funds that were never paid to us by the Feds.

If Arnold thinks he's going to go straight to the head of the line, and take Wisconsin's Federal money and give it to California, he better expect a nasty, down-dirty fight for it.

17. If Ahnuld gets this, ask "Where was Bush the other 2.7 years
when he could have done this before?????"

Didn't Bush push through more money than this for the airlines? With no strings?
