Exploiting Hillary, again
I received this email from a Repuke. If this doesn't prove that the RNC exploits people's fear-of-all-things-Hillary, I don't know what will. This letter actually has NOTHING to do with Hillary or anything she has actually done.

Dear Friend,

If you think Hillary is bad, just wait ‘til you take a look at the loony left-wing record of the only self-proclaimed "SOCIALIST" in the Congress. He’s from Vermont and his name is Bernie Sanders.

Bernie’s radical views are so extreme that he runs for Congress as an "Independent" rather than a Democrat because, as he puts it, "the Democrat Party is too conservative."

Just one example of this Socialist Congressman’s ideology should suffice. I was shocked when I recently learned that Bernie was one of ONLY 14 Congressmen (out of 435) who actually VOTED AGAINST the National Amber Alert Bill (H.R.1104 - Child Abduction Protection Act).

As a father of two children, I was nauseated when I found out why. According to his congressional office, Bernie objected to the bill's "two-strikes and you're out" provision. Apparently, Bernie believes that pedophiles should get a THIRD CHANCE to molest our children.

That’s beyond sick!

Enough is enough. I’ve decided to run for Congress against this pedophile-coddling politician, but I can't defeat Bernie without your immediate help. Please click here to help now!

I spent 22 years defending our country as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force, including four years in the Middle-East as a diplomat and policy advisor. I’m told that someone with my expertise in Middle-East affairs and the war on terrorism would make an ideal Congressman right about now.

Compare my record of public service to that of my opponent. While I was serving our country in harm's way, Bernie was unwittingly providing aid and comfort to the enemies of the Unites States by helping the Clinton administration decimate our defense and intelligence capabilities. That unilateral disarmament made the 9/11 terrorist attacks possible.(IT'S CLINTON'S FAULT!!!)

For nine years in a row, Bernie introduced floor amendments to gut the Intelligence Budget an additional 10% on top of Clinton's draconian cuts. Bernie even ‘fessed up that never actually bothers to read the Intelligence Budget. He won’t even vote to protect our Flag! Has he no shame?

Vermont deserves better and our military and intelligence capabilities can’t afford two more years of Bernie in Congress. Please click here to help now!

You might subscribe to the myth that Vermont is a liberal state run by hippies and overgrown flower children. After all, it elected Howard Dean and Jim Jeffords, didn’t it?

What you may not already know is that there has recently been an unprecedented backlash against radical liberalism by the majority of Vermonters.

The Vermont Supreme Court’s decision mandating gay marriage and the implementation of that social engineering by then-Governor Howard Dean and the then-Democrat controlled legislature triggered a seismic shift in Vermont’s political landscape.

Just last year for example, Vermont’s voters elected a Republican Governor, a Republican Lieutenant Governor, and a Republican majority to the State House of Representatives.

Bernie has not been reelected to Congress because he’s popular and respected or because the voters share his ideology and are proud of his voting record. Rather, Bernie’s been reelected simply because he has never had to face a credible well-funded Republican opponent before, let alone a Veteran.

And in 1 of every 5 Vermont voters is a Veteran! Simply put, Bernie has always gotten a free ride!

That’s about to change – YOU and I can put Bernie on the receiving end of an aggressive, hard-fought, contested campaign for the first time in more than a decade. Please click here to contribute now.

If we have the resources to educate the voters about the real Bernie and his radical, LOONEY left-wing voting record, he’ll find himself running for the state line instead of reelection to Congress.

I CAN WIN this race to unseat Bernie, but I need your IMMEDIATE financial help to make it happen. We need $100,000 dollars by October 25th for critical campaign materials.

Can you contribute $1,000, $500, $250, $100, or even $50 to my campaign today? Please click here to contribute now.

Thank you in advance for your generous support and may God bless you as he has blessed America.

Sincerely,
Greg Parke, Lt. Colonel, USAF Retired

P.S. Bernie will receive money from the liberal elite, and the Socialist-Workers Party types from all over the country. Bernie may be a nut, but he’s nobody’s fool. He knows he must raise and spend millions of dollars in order to deceive enough voters to believe that his SOCIALIST AGENDA is reasonable.

I need support from you and countless others like you who share my commitment to unseat this RADICAL Socialist. The voters of Vermont can’t stand with me if they don’t know where I stand.

4. I beg to differ....
although I don't know enough about Vermont politics to know how popular Bernie actually is, I guarantee they are going to hammer him no end and play to win.

We're not playing a gentlemen's game here. Every Democrat, and even moderate Republican, has very much to fear.

5. Bernie has done the heavy lifting to consolidate grassroots support
He is known as one of the most receptive politicians to constituent concerns in Congress. The reason he wins time and time again, without the support of a major party infrastructure, is that he holds countless town hall meetings throughout VT, listens to his constituents' true concerns, and develops common-sense solutions to address them. That's why he has such a heavy following on these boards as well (myself included).

Bernie regularly trounces his Republican challengers. The Democratic Party won't run against him anymore, because the last time they did their nominee was TROUNCED by Bernie -- and the Republican was soundly defeated as well.

I don't think he really has a great deal to fear from this RW lunatic.

6. I totally agree
Pennsylvania Rep. Senator Spectre is under heavy attack by that asshole ultra-rw Toomey. Spectre has warned the repukes that it could backfire if a dirty fight ensues. Let them eat each other I say.

7. You are welcome to differ...but
I've sat in an audience and listened to Bernie Sanders. I've followed his career for a few years. I'm not a Vermonter but I can say that any district that would elect an Independent who is much closer to a socialist than any dem in this country, is not about to vote into office an Ollie North/Rush Limbaugh wanna-be.

8. I had the pleasure of going to college inVermont and BERNIE KICKS ASS
Just a short story. There was a Ben & Jerry's festival going on and yes there were alot of hippies and environmentalists there. It was great. We were all just walking around and who do we see walking by himself? The great Bernie Sanders. There was a big hill, you could go up the hill using stairs (that were crowded) or just run up the hill yourself. The latter is what Bernie decided to do. He was great. He was not all "suited out", his hair was disheveled, he looked like a regular guy enjoying himself. We said, "Hey Bernie" and he was polite enough to stop and just say "Hi" not looking for praise or politics. Then he ran up the hill.

This guy can bash Bernie all he wants but he is one of the sanest voices this country has right now.
