1. The right hated Clinton and they still do but think about it, Clinton
worked for the majority of the American people, the economy was good, he balanced the budget, reduced the deficit, Clinton wasn't/isn't perfect but I don't think our hatred of * is the same thing as their hatred of Clinton. They hated him for personal, political and economic reasons.

In my opinion, our hatred of that lying lunatic * is based on what he has done to America and Americans (most of them, the majority ot them). It's not a personal kind of thing. I think, and I have researched and read much on the evil of that lying lunatic * and his family and some of his administration, in my opinion this is UNUSUAL. I have been politically active for quite a while - THIS IS NOT POLITICS AS USUAL - there is something else here. I think it's evil.

It's scary but there is hope, all is not lost and this evil can and will be defeated. Many people, ordinary and good people want that, they want their country back.

I think your question is a very, very good one. As of late, I am more and more convinced that * is working with the great deceiver to advance destruction, hatred, fear...evil. I hope that this makes sense; to me it is crystal clear.

4. Strictly Political And Partisan
If there was an economic impact of Clinton hate it was to raise funds for weaseldicks like DeLay and Frist and Gingrich and the tons of Repugnican and Right wing Pacs and "think tanks" that have turned Clinton-hate into a mythological money-pit.

First, they were conditioned to hate Clinton, then it is used pavlovian to "circle the wagons" or get out the checkbooks. Listen to hate radio and anytime you hear a bad story a Repugnican can't hide, it's always matched with a Clinton one...or in their conveluted, screwed-up minds. Even charges Clinton was exonerated of are still considered guilty. What drove/drives these people batty is how popular Clinton was and remains. This is that one pound of flesh they never got out of the guy...and they'll forever try (just like some on the left still can't bury Nixon hate).

meeester booosh is despised not for who he is, but what he represents. Be it the invasion of Iraq, high oil prices, stealing of the elections, Patriot Act, Harriet Miers...take your pick, there's plenty for left and right to choose from now.

3. The main reason they hated Clinton was that
people as a whole liked Clinton - he was a very popular president, even during his worst patches. This drove Freeps nuts because it blew a hole in their delusional belief that the "average American" thought like they did. They unleashed a decade of psychotic fury and bile and vitriol on the Clintons and, guess what: Clinton is STILL popular while their beloved president's approval ratings sink lower and lower.

5. Another set of questions
Who paid $70 million dollars to investigate a "corrupt land deal" and came away with a "sexual dalliance" as the big score?

Who built up a cottage industry based solely on attacking the president - to the point that entire careers were made just on that premise alone?

I'll give you three guesses - raise the hand which represents the winger - and I'll bet that freeptards and dittododos will go 0 for 3 . . .

7. I'd say the hate levels are about equal
I have a RW friend who isn't a lunatic, just a bit misguided. :-)

We've talked about this at length. What really cooked the RW over Clinton was their perception that Clinton was a flim-flam man, someone who didn't take responsibility for his actions, but instead told tall tales to cover them up. That kind of thing really sticks in their craw.

Funny, he didn't quite get it when I said the same thing about his prez.

Peace.
