has ANY dem senator CONDEMNED the Mier nomination?
on its face, nominating your own personal attorney to the court which may soon act as your personal supreme court should be a non starter and voting no on her should be automatic, NO MATTER which party or person runs the presidency.

1. I can't believe that Reid seriously thought this would be good nomination
But we need to look past the nomination itself. Would you want FEMA-Brownie on the Court?

check out bartcop :)

2. my point is the serious conflict of interest in your personal attorney
becoming your judge. sounds like a flaw to me.

now if the dems would loudly oppose bush at every turn, staging more "shame" events, that would be awesome, or as my governator says,
"fantastik"!

4. You'll notice Kloset Kase Kenny Mehlman is pretending we are....
even as the GOP disintegrates in the path of Hurricane Harriet....

8. You clearly don't understand Reid's strategy.
It was a masterstroke.

5. Why would they? Just sit back and laugh.
Why spoil a perfectly good free for all on the other side?

Voice concerns with her experience and loyalties, every once in a while point out her moderate credentials and watch the fundies go apeshit.

Democrats can be statesmanlike and oppose the nomination on solid ground after the hearings.

6. I don't believe anyone is outright condemning her
Even Boxer simply says, "We need to know more about her."

Well, duh.
