Bush voters say nation going in wrong direction /Houston Chronicle
WASHINGTON - Evangelicals, Republican women, Southerners and other critical groups in President Bush's political coalition are worried about the direction the nation is headed and disappointed with his performance, an AP-Ipsos poll found.
....
"There is a growing, deep-seated discontentment and pessimism about the direction of the country," said Republican strategist Tony Fabrizio.

Supporters uneasy
Among those most likely to have lost confidence about the nation's direction over the past year are white evangelicals, down 30 percentage points since November, Republican women, down 28 points, Southerners, down 26 points, and suburban men, down 20 points.
....
In December 2004, soon after his re-election, almost two-thirds of Republicans strongly approved of the job done by Bush. The AP-Ipsos survey found that just half in his own party feel that way now.

1. No kidding
I know a few people who voted for Bush and now regret the decision.

Yeah, if only they had done that earlier, see...but party loyalty I guess is what caused them to push the button they did.

At least they'll know better next time.

4. These same people won't too easily give up on the Republican party
Very soon, we'll see another knight in shitty armor, another Republican, marketed and designed for them to worship. And they will simply transfer their allegiance to another one. It's not like they'll become Dems.

6. Unamerican

Evangelicals, Republican women, Southerners, who spent decades calling libs unamerican, are actually the really unamerican ones. They enjoyed their little games supporting Neo-Cons and censoring everyone else, to hurt the American poor, the American old, small American business, American First Nation natives, American blacks, American Hispanics, American unions, etc., as long as they (evangelicals, Republican women, Southerners) had it good. The minute the economy began to hurt their pocket, then they got worried, not one minute before. What a bunch of selfish, unamerican people. I feel nothing but contempt for these groups. They're evil.
