A question for those with a sharp eye

Look at bush*s right hand. Does it appear purple/bruised, or is this a matter of shadow/pixel? I'm just curious what others think.

5. The photo here is very distorted.

Look at the shadow color on all of the other parts of their bodies. The photo is also scanned from a commercially printed source, adding more distortion and grain.

10. NOT taken in the oval office!!

This photo is a "still shot" taken from the movie "Fahrenheit 911" President is being told about planes crashing into the twin towers. This was taken just moments before his stupid "deer in the headlights" stare for what, 10 minutes as I recall? (my pet goat story being interrupted!) I think the "discoloration" is due to lighting. If you'll notice, the presidents upper hand is getting most of the light,and the other mans hand is the same color as the pres. bottom hand.

The "hole in the Oval Office Plaster" remark was a flippant explanation for purple knuckles. I know exactly what is depicted in the photo. My point to the OP was that reproduction quality of this photo is too poor to draw any valid conjecture.

it could be nothing -- but it looks like something. the darkness isn't just shadow. there's too much maroon. there would have to be a major light coming from behind him, shining on a very red surface (his pants) to reflect that much color in the shadow.

the hole in the plaster would be in Crawford, btw.

Meaning when a body part hurts or is tender, the patient "guards" it by holding it/protecting it.

It was just a curiosity for me when I saw this enlargement of the photo. Was he on a bender the night before. If so, so what? Or, if so, what could that maybe mean? I'm just trying to figure out more of the detail. If it is pic distortion, well then, that settles that. If not I want to know what happened the night before 911.
