7. To use John Zogby's words
the angry voter is back.

Also the recall bug is starting to spread

People are angry, and they are taking it out on
whoever is on the polls...

Translate this to 2004 and the General Election
if things remain the same.

Now if bush opens the funding spigot, then we may loose
the state in 2004, talk of dirty politics

41. Just like Dean said...
"Today's recall election in California was not about Gray Davis or Arnold Schwarzenegger. This recall was about the frustration so many people are feeling about the way things are going. All across America, George Bush's massive tax cuts for the wealthy are undermining state budgets, causing cutbacks in services and increases in local property taxes. Were recalls held in every state, it's quite possible that 50 governors would find themselves paying the price for one president's ruinous national economic policies. Tonight the voters in California directed their frustration with the country's direction on their incumbent governor. Come next November, that anger might be directed at a different incumbent...in the White House."

19. gillespie basically said that...
....Americans won't buy the "angry" politics of the left in 2004; they want the positive agenda and successes that Bush is achieving, as he has restored ethics to the White House. Angry Democrats won't get traction with voters.

Dat's his story, and he's sticking to it.

Gets the check and a bonus for a job well done in California. Texas is next.

Gillespie looks like a Chipmunk who needs to have that smirk wiped off his face. Other than Begala & Carville...is there anyone else up to the task?

BTW...notice how they use McAuliffe's words against him...again, as usual. It used to be the RNC/DNC chiefs would always appear together. McAuliffe's alienated so many of the chattering class they can't wait for a chance to slam him and the Democrats. He's gotta go! Pronto!

40. Olbermann up next. Thank god that's over.
Tweety shows his true colors, once again (to the conservative radio host: I love your show; I listen to it all the time.)

Plus, he claims that the media wouldn't have used the term 'circus' to describe the recall, had a liberal Dem been leading.

42. They call the Dem candidates clowns ALL THE TIME.
So it's ok for the 10 (now 9) to be called clowns and laughed at and ridiculed as too many wackos (heard that on CNBC) but when porn stars, Larry Flynt, Gary Coleman and what 200 other people are on the ballot, it's what? Normal? Glad I'm not watching. :puke:
