Crank accuses Mayor Nagin of racism!
Strange but true. Must be a full moon or something.

http://www.nola.com/newslogs/tporleans/index.ssf?/mtlogs/nola_tporleans/archives/2005_10_06.html#085362

Forgotston, a resident of Lakeview, accused the mayor of discriminating against white New Orleanians by not including the Lakeview area in his re-entry plan. The e-mail also was sent to eight other public officials.

In fact, under Nagin's plan, white residents as well as African-Americans have been returning in large numbers to parts of the city that did not flood and have already been opened back up: Algiers, Uptown, the French Quarter and the Central Business District.

But Forgotston's focus was on Lakeview, which he described as "the largest, mostly white middle-class area of the city of New Orleans." Under Nagin's plan, Lakeview residents were officially permitted to visit the neighborhood starting Wednesday, though many had jumped the gun.

"There is no other way to describe it," Forgotston wrote of Nagin's timetable, "except as BLATANT RACIAL DISCRIMINATION." "We keep hearing our public officials tell us that they want us back," continued Forgotston, a lawyer and former lobbyist best known publicly as a ceaseless critic of the gambling industry.

Look at all those caps. This is HUGH!!!111!!111!11 He's SERIES!!1111!! Cripes, with that attitude, he probably is a FReeper.

What a moran. I mean, this couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that lakeview is imediately adjacent to the infamous 17th St. Canal, and thus sustained the worst flooding in the city (apart from the Lower 9th Ward, "protected" by a different levee), now, could it? Of course not! It's gotta be racism coming down from that mean old black mayor who sassed Our Great President Bush and didn't even get whipped or anything. :sarcasm:

To reecap: C.B. Forgotston Should B. Forgotten.

1. Forgotston is an idiot and a "moran"
Here's what the whining idiot had to say about rebuilding after Katrina:

http://www.thedeadpelican.com/cb2.htm

snip... "Right after the winds of Hurricane Katrina died down, I had hope that there would be positive changes in LA as a result of our public officials trying not to repeat the same mistakes. Our public officials (at all levels) turned the largest natural disaster in the history of the United States into a man-made catastrophe of Biblical proportions."

"Government in LA has, since the 1927 and the coming to power of Huey P. Long and the Populist form of government has served to create a large segment of our population that is dependent as opposed to being independent. Even as I write this, what is left of our independent population is being thwarted from caring for themselves which only serves to make more people dependent upon government." end snip.....
