Frum had the best Miers analogy this morning
Bush is like a used car dealer saying "trust me." The car is just what you're looking for, except you can't see the maintenence records, you can't talk to the previous owners and you can't take it for a ride first, and you can't return it if you don't like it. Just trust me.

This is exactly what Bush is doing. But why would anyone in his right might trust Bush?

2. Interesting that they are saying that just about Miers
Because that was what Democrats were complaining about Roberts and the Republicans were saying that it is good he doesn't have a record on this or that.

Why a different tune now with the same line of reasoning?

3. David Scum with a valid point. I think they are getting nervous about
giving monkeyboy unchecked power. He isn't stacking the court for conservatives or wingnuts he's stacking the deck for himself. He really wants to be chimperor and he'll have the Supreme Court to further solidify his dictatorship even if he loses the legislative rubber stamp.

9. Don't be fooled
Bush knows he is lying, don't get caught up in the Bush is a moran mantra. He is a slick con man with a sociopath's ability to lie convincingly. He is glad that you are misunderestimating him.
