What Did * Do With the BILLIONS of $$$ Allocated for Post-Katrina Cleanup?
I was just thinking this. After reading here that Senator Landrieu is pissed off that FEMA is still withholding aid to New Orleans (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=4987641&mesg_id=4987641), it made me wonder. What is * doing with all the BILLIONS of $$$ in aid Congress approved for post-Katrina rescue and relief operations? Much of this money came from overseas as well.

Is * just sitting on the money? Is he sneaking some of that money under the table to his constituents, his business partners, and contractors such as Halliburton? Is he using that money for other illicit purposes? And who is accounting for the funds and how they are used? Obviously it isn't getting where it needs to go. And I have heard very little in terms of government aid getting to these folks down there.

What gives?

1. Maybe he's lost it, like money we've sent to Iraq
What was it, $8 billion dollars of our money that was lost (as in can't find it) in Iraq?

6. So true...
But who is keeping * accountable for the spending? And who is failing in their duties to ensure the money is going where it needs to go?

7. I thought Karl Rove was supposed to ensure...
Dubya is sending the money where it needs to go. Wonder if Karl can do that from prison?

2. There's an article in a recent Newsweek.
I was reading that in a waiting room a while ago. Shows where some of the money has gone but there aren't a lot of details yet.
