Bush* Advocates Legislating From The Bench
Day after day we hear the reich wing railing against "legislating from the bench". This meme is used to infer that anyone who is not ultra conservative wishes to change law by way of judicial rulings.

Today, the SCOTUS will be hearing a case brought by the bush* administration wishing to strike down Oregon law. Assisted suicide was twice, TWICE, voted into law by the people of Oregon. Bush* seeks to overthrow this law using the courts.

You know, they always site Roe v Wade as their example of legislating from the bench, but to be sure what they are really mad about is the end of segregation and the end of the Jim Crow laws. This is why on it's face it is so hypocritical and confusing to the average person who scratches their head and says that they always thought that conservatives believed in "states rights". The simple explanation is that they only believe in what suits them at the time.

It is time to throw the ridiculous meme of "legislating from the bench" back into the faces of conservatives. Push this obvious contradiction in the media and with our elected officials.

3. As long as they are activist on his behalf it's okay.
Dems need to put out some adds to slam the "activist judge" meme, and slam bush* et al in the process. It seems like a win-win issue for Dems.

4. It's called "projection"
It's BushCo's MO and a very effective method for pacifying their brain-dead base.
