1. Someone should ask her about her sources re phony WH trashing
and theft from AF1 by the Clintons. She reported on this every night for a week, citing WH sources. The source lied.

3. "...Reporter Andrea Mitchell of NBC Nightly News was married to Federal
Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan, who was a longtime Republican and protégé of Ayn Rand. Mitchell was a Welch favorite because he liked her “objectivity”, which meant that she never had a positive word to say about Democrats. After the election, it was Mitchell who repeatedly lied when reporting that Clinton aides had vandalized the White House and stolen from Air Force One. Bush operatives were later quoted as saying that the phony vandalism story was a big help in creating the desired contrast between the “sleazy” Clinton years and the “breath of fresh air” that George W. Bush wanted to represent. Mitchell never retracted or apologized when the Government Accounting Office proved that she had been dishonest, and she was never disciplined..."

2. Mitchell cheered on Cheney's false claim about never meeting Edwards-
http://mediamatters.org/items/200410060005

NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell seized on Vice President Dick Cheney's false assertion during the vice presidential debate that he had never met Senator John Edwards before he "walked on the stage tonight"; Mitchell called the assertion "devastating" to Edwards. Immediately after the debate, she said on MSNBC, "Cheney did awfully well ...

utting John Edwards in his place, saying, 'I have been presiding over the Senate, and I didn't meet you until tonight.'" But Cheney had met Edwards before the debate, on at least three separate occasions: at a February 2001 Senate prayer breakfast, during an April 2001 taping of NBC's Meet the Press, and at Senator Elizabeth Dole's (R-NC) January 2003 swearing-in ceremony.

Moreover, Cheney's suggestion that he has gone to the Senate most Tuesdays in his capacity as Senate president is apparently misleading. National Public Radio (NPR) host Steve Inskeep noted on the October 6 broadcast of Morning Edition that "Cheney rarely meets any Democrats during his occasional forays into the Senate. NPR's David Welna covers Congress and says Cheney usually comes to preside over a Republican lunch."...

MITCHELL: I think Dick Cheney did awfully well, first of all. Putting John Edwards in his place, saying, "I have been presiding over the Senate, and I didn't meet you until tonight." Talking about his not having been on the job was pretty devastating.
