1. Church rule over the state, that's what will happen
Count on it.

It was a done deal, though, when Bush got re-elected.

We're doomed.

2. That's what I was going to say
They'll probably rule that the Establishment Clause is irrelevant to all previous rulings.

3. Pessimist!
Nah, this is where it starts getting fun!

Do please remember the words of the Good Doctor: "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

Once the church is in charge of the state, it's time to start forming churches.

Am I the only one who's ever wondered what would happen if a church sanctioned gay marriage?

Suddenly, all those stupid "Defense of Marriage" statutes become repugnant to the First Amendment. And the wingnut judges HAVE to find that way, or else do a boot-dance on their little fundie congregations.

We're not screwed, we're challenged. In the good way.

4. Each state has its own federal church with pro life being a national body

For example alabama is a baptist state. Thier is no health care insurance we are literally on our own. Doctors can help who they want to. Democrats cannot marry. Social security is gutted. Tax cuts for environmental polluters. Okay am sufficiently depressed now. I need a drink
