I don't know any better way than that to ask - but what polls are comming up and how will the national disgrace fare? Mid 30's sound about right?

1. If you cut out Fox, Gallup, and Rassmussen, Bush hasn't had a poll over 40
Edited on Sun Oct-02-05 06:33 PM by jsamuel
since August.

And Gallup has done this: 45,40,46,40,45
Rassmussen had him at 48 LOO LOO
Fox had him at 41 until they saw Gallup put him at 45, so they did the same

ARG - Aug: 36%, Sept: 37%
AP-Ipsos - 40%
Newsweek - 40%

2. I heard someone on Friday talking about the new Newsweek poll
They were spinning the fact that bushie's poll numbers have gone up since his "taking charge" after Hurricane Rita. (Yea, right. They were nothing more than photo ops.) His numbers are still in the low 40s and yet they are trying to make us believe that this is good. Guess they think if they tell the American people that often enough, we will believe that low 40s is a good number to have. Unfortunately, so many Americans have poor memories and have already forgotten about the poor way Hurricane Katrina was handled.

3. Don't be fooled
No matter what, polls will show that people love *. He is the christ.

4. Can I please ask you a question? I don't know where else to ask.

In polls like that, and others..., I've felt my opinion needed 'underlining' (ahem! LOL!), so I can say I've added the votes of everyone in my household when I vote. I certainly click on the polls that are posted HERE when the call goes out for our 'special notice'...;-) and I don't see anything wrong with that! However, I AM curious about why, knowing THAT, so many members here think the polls are spot-on........know what I mean?

5. I'm not sure that I understand your question
but I think that you're referring to online polls, which we "DU" to affect the result. The OP was referring to polls done by polling companies, usually over the phone. It would be impossible to vote more than once in that kind of poll.

6. Yes!
"which we "DU" to affect the result"

Yes, I meant to say I do that, too--and I guess I should've just come out and asked that, since the polls numbers ARE boosted, the posters here don't think the online polls are an accurate reflections of the every-day-man-on-the-street, do they?

7. No probably not
but I must confess that I don't know how to vote more than once in an online poll, either. So I just vote one time. I think most online polls also have guards against multiple voting.

8. I confess...
At work, we have more than one computer in the office--and at home there's several laptops...
