Would Cheney(AKA DarthVP) Resign....

If Fitzgerald returns an indictement on his a$$ or would his arrogance rule the day and he sticks around.....

Question 2...

Would SHRUB resign if dickface resigns........leaving the government that they could care less about in a disaster.

Question 3....

Who else besides Rover is going to get an indictment handed to them in the next several days?

1. They would ignore the problem until it became necessary to address.
Appeal the outcome, all the while letting divisions of Swift Boat Vets take verbal shots at Fitzgerald. Finally it reaches the SCOTUS, where we see our newly installed suit (two by the time it reaches this level) mock the Laws of the Land and declare majority opinion for Cheney. Scalia would even go along with it (for a good duck hunting friend). With DeLay and the other Robber Barons - pardons all around by accused Boosh or SCOTUS rulings in their favor.

Yep, that is about how it is going to roll.

3. I believe not
We would have another te%*)*^ attack, the stock market would crash, an energy grid would go down, bird flu would suddenly descend on the us, a biological agent would be released in NOLA, a sudden attack on iran...anything to prevent Darth V giving up power. Anything he can do to divert attention he will do. He and Rove are the 2 most dangerous people known to man. They do not value human life in any way, and certainly will not relinquish power without taking most of humankind down with them.

5. The Joint Chiefs of Staff and Intel Community Won't Let Them Do That.
It's part of their job description to avoid starting nuclear war or looking the other way during mass casualty atacks - 9/11 taught them that much. Cheney has not been forgiven, and Bush does not have carte blanche to start any old war whenever he wants.

It's end-game for BushCo.

9. Chney just drafted the pre-emptive nuclear strike policy
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/09/10/AR2005091001053_pf.html

and a 4 star general was recently fired, some say for standing up to the neocons.
I think we're past cheney looking for permission or following protocol that does not serve his means

6. DarthVaPor - His is a feith based program.
Bush lives in a dreamworld He is, by some accounts, surprised that people DON'T trust or like him. All those meetings he attends, where he presses the flesh, well he feels popular there.

DarthVaPor on the other hand, holds no illusions about the dislike and distrust and disdain. To the contrary, he thrives on it and cares not one wit about it

7. wouldn't matter if he did....
even if he did resign, Cheney would be paid to consult with the WH.

Answer to question 2: no, Bush won't resign even if he wanted to. His handlers are making way too much money for him to quit now. Besides, it would be the kiss of death for the Republican Party in 2006.

Answer to question 3: I assume Scooter Libby but I won't know unitl it happens. HOWEVER, I would like to stress to all of DU that when the indictments come (and especially if Cheney is indicted) we shouldn't laugh or gloat. Instead we should be extremely angry and demand a change in Washington from this ugly culture of corruption. Anger is the key.
