Too many issues ?
It seems like there are so many issues that need to be addressed, that we seem to be scattered and unable to focus on two or three? Did Bush and Cheney know about the Plame leaks and were they personally involved? Is Tom Delay going to jail? The hurricane victims? The incompetent response by this Republican Administration? The huge deficits and their future impact on our economy? Bill Frist investigation? The Supreme Court nominee - right-wing or moderate ? Bush's low polls? The millions of people that have gone into poverty in the last 5 years? The war in Iraq? The loss of freedom and the Patriot Act? The cronyism and corruption in the Republican Party? The rubber-stamp Congress? How can the people be focused on one or two issues when everybody is so scattered? Is it possible to focus on just a couple of the issues? And which issues should we focus on?

2. There is at least a common theme--corruption and incompetence.
But I do agree. Did you even mention the economy?

3. has always been with this administration, ergo challenge.
it is a ploy by rove,........and again always has been. in the past so many of these has gone along the wayside, but i have also had confidence they would rear their ugly head again, bigger. the thing and we know this in personal life, .... do something wrong and can hide only so long. these men have the capacity of 13 yr old boys in all their bullying ways. they are not capable of resolving.

4. You are spot on. I think the scope of issues overwhelms many of us
& sends us into momentary phases of hopelessness. I wonder if that's part of the problem with our own DU activist corps -- too many issues -- where to focus.

Someone suggested we identify the main categories of issues & break into smaller groups that focus on just the issues in your category. I thought it was a great idea.

Maybe we could use this thread to start categorizing the issues. Something that simple could help people to focus & not feel so overwhelmed.

5. I think it is also strategery...
When one breaks a little, pile the stuff you've been holding on it to confuse and distract.
