Do the repukes make you wanna' move to Iceland?
Come to think of it, that might be a great place to live - no pollution, no crime, weather similar to New England, and it's the closest European country to the US (only four hours from New York). The only drawback is that rich repukes like to vacation there.

15. yep Ireland
My aunt found her grandfather in the 1900 census and it looked like it said that his father was born in Iceland (another look at another copy of the census revealed it to be "Ireland").

I'd be hesitant to move there myself. I don't do well in cold climates.

18. Air cool but the ground is warm, and sometimes it moves.

I hear they have lots of greenhouses and grow fine tomatoes.

33.  Fine Tomatoes? Well that does it for me then. Sound great!

We're putting an 8-12 year plan in place, to make it easy to liquidate any assets and get the hell out if things keep sliding down hill. I have no intention of spending my retirement years in a fascist/racist/imperialist/greedy ass-hat of a country.

I LOVE AMERICA - but alas Georgie boy has choked the very life out of it.

I will say, recent developments give me hope. I plan to work LIKE HELL while I am here to turn things around. I don't want to leave.

this country. They seem to be crumbling before our eyes and their hubris is coming back and kicking them in the ass.

8. NO!
In a couple of years they would spoil one of the most clean, pristine places on earth. The place would be covered with Wal Marts, oil wells, polluted streams, dirty air, bumper-to-bumper SUVs, and cell towers every block.

6. Aww yes Ireland but not by need to leave this country
but by choice. Im not going to let some narrow minded pin headed shit for brains run me out of my home. My family come from Ireland way back when, probably long before *&co ever thought of coming to America. I am not going to let some drug induced administration run me out of town. I'll stay and be a thorn in their ass from now til hell freezes over.

11. AND Iceland has
Therapeutic Hot Springs!

Snip~
"Geysers and Hot Springs in Iceland
Geysers and hot springs are among Iceland's most remarkable features, and with more than 700 such sources, there is no shortage of hot water. The heat which shoots up from the earth's molten core creates unique formations in a fascinating array of shapes and sizes, and together with nature's other powerful forces, determines the strange and wonderful contrasts that make up Iceland's natural landscape."

27. I went to one in Montana..
in 1980..I don't remember where it was..out in the middle of nowhere, Montana..I loved it, I do remember. They are sooo healing.

New York and the North East don't have hot springs only cold..brr.

I better have a "fondness for Volcanoes", I'm going to be living close to Volcanoes National Park on Hawaii..

28. Out in the middle of nowhere describes most of Montana! LOL
Was there an old dive of a bar called Polaris near the springs? Mountains? Old, large hotel near a small town with river? No town but plenty of elk & moose? Old folks home with glowing geezers (THAT particular hot spring is so due to uranium)? Some of those clues would help me narrow it down, it's a BIG state! ;)

31. Sorry, I don't remember any
other specifics..only that it was Montana and Out In The Middle of Nowhere..I think it was in an old room with a ceiling. Maybe if I were hypnotized.

I wasn't paying much attention back then :) I'd forgotten it until your post awakened a recess in my brain cell.

I was on a 3 & 1/2 months camping trip in the North West and I went to hot springs in the other states..anywhere I could spot them.

I do think you're fortunate to live in a state that has them!

When I lived in California and Colorado I would go all the time.

14. Iceland also has
a neo-nazi movement. A friend who lives there told me a hilarious story about David Duke giving a press conference in which he lauded the "Aryan purity" of the Icelanders. A neo-nazi retorted that that mongrel David Duke was in no position to talk about their ethnicity - sick and funny at the same time

25. I am thinking of moving to the Azores and opening an Italian
Restaurant. A good friend of mine vacationed there and said there were no Italian restaurants. The Azores get a lot of American tourists so we figure we'll be ok. Plus, the weather is pretty decent from what I hear.

Of course, this is a pipe dream but I tell my wife that the "day is coming when we are leaving."
