Do you CARE if Bill Bennet or any politician apologizes?
This isn't about only Bill Bennet - he's just the most recent example - but the thing about all the calls to apologize is that given the things they say, no apology could be good enough to matter to me.

The only virtue I see in a call to apologize is to keep things the incident in the news.

What do you think? Does it makes any difference at all to you if they apologize?

1. Yes and no.
It makes them look bad if they are forced to apologize, which I like.

But do I forgive people who say these things? Hell no.

2. No, because usually they are just sorry
they got caught.

:hurts: It's time to flush another one.

5. Well yeah
I mean I don't care in the sense that "Well now I like Bill Bennet" or that i'm laying up at nights thinking "Gosh I hope Bill Bennet Apologizes."

But I have more respect for him than I would if he didn't apologize, or, worse, boasted of his inappropriate statements.

7. No, but I think they should be publicly chastised...
So I'm glad they are making a big deal about this in the news...

8. I'm willing to accept their apologies AND resignations at the same
time, it would be the only way to show sincerity.

10. Yes, when it comes to republicans for sure, it is a total humiliation
for them whereas honest people don't have a problem taking responsiblity for their mistakes.

Accepting responsibility, for republicans, is totally against their 'principles', lol.

11. Anything Bennet can say comes much too late.
As an African-American, I might have accepted a sincere apology
just to let this pass. But his "I was misconstrued" non-apology
only made it worse. He apologized for offending the "right-to-
lifers", not for the racism.

He believes exactly what he said. An apology now would be meaningless.

12. This is way past an apology
no one can me that Bennett, Delay, Frist, Robertson, and the rest of this very very evil empire had no idea what they have done or said is/was wrong. The time for an apology has long since past. Its time for public execution. ( IMO )
