Arnold may have won the war, but can he win the peace?
As has been illustrated SO dramatically in Iraq, sometimes winning the peace is more difficult than winning the war.

And a neophyte taking charge of the world's fifth largest economy in just ten days with a Democratic legislature is going to face as many obstacles as Rummy does in Iraq.

Schwarzengroper will be ripe for the picking soon. Give him rope, give him room.

And in the meantime, Gray Davis has the power to sign all kinds of laws and make judicial appointments and hundreds of other appointments. Neither the laws nor the specific appointments can be rescinded, according to what I heard on c-span.

So don't feel too bad. This could be fun. (Except for the part where California loses $9 billion to Enron.)

Does anyone even have the first clue what Arny actually intends to DO?

Does Arny have the first clue, I mean besides "pamping caleefornia op"?

2. he won't be able to do anything, BUT
he has the VETO power, which means he can probably stop some good progressive legislation from becoming law

4. Look time to put a POSSITIVE SPIN on this
Lets assume for a moment that this was indeed a voter
revolt because of the economy. What does that tell us
about 2004 and if that is the case? And the elections
were fairly clean, how fast do you people think Bush
will be booted out of office.

It is either that or the alternative is not one I am
willing to comtemplate tonight, but a civil war is not that
far in the future
