KOS: Bush Supporters of the Far Right: Cries from the Lake of Fire
This is one of the best blog posts I have ever read. This should be read on the House and Senate floors.

Thanks to the brilliant "Hunter" at DailyKos.

Just read. That's all. Just read.

At Blogs For Bush, which bills itself as the Whorehouse... er, "White House" of the Blogosphere, the ever effervescent Mark Noonan writes about the DeLay indictment:

As our Sister Toldjah noted earlier, the "indictment" of Tom Delay is entirely bogus - from what I've read, Tom Delay didn't know about the perfectly legal transaction he is accused of conspiring to make. We have now left entirely the field of normal political conflict and entered a twilight world where fantasy is presented as fact and the only standard of conduct is "will it work?". This is not the actions of a political Party engaged in seeking a majority - it is the action of a Party determined to destroy its opponents entirely and sieze all power for itself...it is, in short, the stuff from which civil wars are made...

I really do urge our Democrats to step back from the edge - you are sitting in a lake of gasoline and you are playing with fire. We on our side will only put up with so much before we start to pay back with usury what we have received. If you can't defeat Tom Delay in the electoral field, then you will simply have to accept him as Majority Leader of the United States House of Representatives - and you'd better start accepting political reality before things get really bad.

Mark... may I call you Mark? I feel when someone has shown me the insides of their own rectum, we're pretty much on a first name basis... I have some words for you.

Whitewater. Rush Limbaugh. "Drug Dealer" Bill Clinton. Swift Boats.

Vince Fucking Foster.

Playing with fire, you say? Because the indictments ringing Tom DeLay finally reached up that one, final step from his ring of closest advisers to DeLay himself? Because the SEC has launched a formal investigation into the same behaviors by Bill Frist that put Martha Stewart recently in prison? Because one of the single most visible, highest profile Republican money men has been indicted for fraud, is being investigated for client shakedowns, and has his close business associates being investigated for a mob-connected murder?

What utter cowardice. What pathetic anti-American pedantry. What laughable protestation. The crimes of campaign money laundering, of fraud, of conspiracy, the violation of the laws of the nation, to be answered with stern visions of potential gunfire if Democrats have the audacity to pursue it.

4. Wow.
He ends with:

So don't give me chest-thumping crap about civil wars, if your politicians are indicted. Don't give me visions of a lake of fire, if all those who find you loathsome refuse to suck at your teats of scientific ignorance in the name of religion, racism in the name of freedom, and corruption in the name of the New World Order

Get used to the world you have created, and the stench your worshipped heroes have unleashed.

Excellant

14. woooo I wish I could write like that!
This goes in my "Must print out" folder!

I loved this line:
"And as for the audacity of Democrats speaking up during this process... the redfaced, flatulent fury with which you declare Republicans off-limits to that which you so gleefully hurl yourself..."

Thanks for this, seafan

Put Hunter on the media circuit for our team. He's hit the nerve. This is what we are feeling.

Oh and by the way Mark Noonan - go Cheney yourself! Is this a-hole related to Peggy?

17. Best partisan politics line EVER!!!
"Welcome to the politics of your own party, finally sprouting from the ground on which you planted the seeds and shat upon them."

I am thrilled whenevr I hear or read the word "shat". This is the word to describe the bushist mode, means and method of life. They have truly shat upon everything that we hold dear. Mr. Noonan has many years of his own defecation to swim through before he reaches reality, I have never for the life of me read such hollow and vacous threats from the holder of all the reigns of power.

He will be shocked to learn what may befall his own if it were to get so far as he seem to hope... he would be shocked because I know that that chickenhawk never checks out the pictures of the dead from Iraq unless he is in a state of arrousal and masturbatory glee.

Truly an inspirational rant from Hunter.

What does this moran think? That we will cower in fear at the mere threat of violence?

19. Well-written, but wrong.
It's cathartic to call them "tubthumping, chin-jutting, Bush humping gits", and much of what Hunter writes here is true, but in the end, he's basically saying, "You started the politics of personal destruction, and now we're doing the same thing. How does it feel?"

You know what? We're not. We're not like them. We don't hate like them, we don't base our worldview around destroying other human beings like they do. Tom DeLay is being prosecuted because a duly-elected civil servant who has prosecuted more Democrats than Republicans sees that Mr. DeLay has violated the law.

Frist isn't being investigated out of partisan animosity, either. We're not about the politics of personal destruction. We're about the politics of hope. We're about shared responsibilities and shared benefits. We unite, while they divide. This is what makes us better than they are, and what makes it worthwhile to proclaim that you are a liberal.

I wish Hunter hadn't gotten so caught up in their Republican madness. If this essay proves nothing else, it's that blood fever is infectious. I will never let myself be like they are.

20. He has reason to rant, but
it's very, very premature.

DeLay has been indicted--NOT convicted. And I am not that sure he will be, although I'll be happy as a clam if he is.

He should have gone to prison years and years ago.

In the end, though, this isn't about getting back at the fascists--this is about DeLay allegedly breaking the law, after all.

21. I can only dream of writing that well. Awesome.
I want it all on a t-shirt.

"Welcome to the world of the politics of personal destruction, you tubthumping, chin-jutting, Bush humping gits. Welcome to the nasty and partisan world that Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Hugh Hewitt, Grover Norquist, Newt Gingrich, Tom DeLay, and a legion of insignificant lowest-rung toadies like yourselves nurtured into fruition daily with eager, grubby hands, and now look upon with dull-faced faux horror."

O Bravo! Bravo!

and the refrain ---

Whitewater. Rush Limbaugh. "Drug Dealer" Bill Clinton. Swift Boats.

Vince Fucking Foster.

Swift boats. Aluminum tubes. Niger uranium. "Mushroom clouds". Whitewater.

Vince Fucking Foster.

I love the smell of Republican "outrage" in the morning.....

..."destroying the other side & seeking all power for itself" sounds an awful lot like what the Republicans have been doing the past 15-20 years. Ironic.

24. the rant of rants
and a dam good one at that. Eloquently expressed. He does say essentially, here is a taste of what you have your own medicine, but it is more like, partake of what you have created. The repug base is part a large part of the problem, equally corrupted, hypocritical as their demi god politicians. Fools the lot of them, and so they deserve what they are getting. We are not indicting Delay, we are not on a witch hunt. Many repug leaders will be fried soon. Not because we, or even our leaders are going after them, but because they broke the LAW. The DA is there to catch people who twist our political system in an illegal way. There is no justification for tampering with American government. Fucking elitist arrogance.
