call it stubborn optimism, nothing to lose optimism, but i know this will all pass. mainly because they've gone too far. it simply can't go on like this, it's too ugly and obscene and nasty to last much longer. but i suspect it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. we here already know how bad things are under bushco, and we know how bad it's going to get. but the others, the non voters, the bushlovers, the confused and shapeless, will come around very shortly.
more and more people every day are having a 'hey, wait a minute here' moment. an epiphany, a sudden realization that bushco is extremely dangerous to the world, and is deliberately destroying all that is good about america. yes, even the most hardcore neo cons who went to all that trouble to get the idiot in office are snapping out of their stupor. one thing is always true: the republicans eat their own.
when one of them is cornered and bringing too much heat, they toss em to the wolves and don't look back. witness trent lott and newt gingrich.
but we must be careful not to let one day's scandal melt away into the next one and lose track. we must never get bored hearing about another soldier's death, or complacent when told the war is costing 4B a month, and they want to stay there for 4 or 5 years. never become apathetic to the families of lost soldiers, or the faces of iraqi citizens blasted into pieces. never forget that it was bushco who invented the twin frankenstein monsters osama and saddam, and never raised an eyebrow over the decades as they murdered thousands.
never forget that these miserable cowards who frothed at the mouth for war-lust NEVER SERVED IN THE MILITARY. they had other priorities.
stay awake. never get used to being oppressed and lied too. that ain't the way it's supposed to be. read, talk, brace yourself.
bushco is going down hard, and they will fight hard too. but we will be victorious over them because history and humanity are on OUR side.
