I nailed a Freeper at my family reunion this weekend
My niece's husband is a Bushy. This weekend at a family get together we were discussing his work status. He used to work for Lucent until they went down the toilet. Now he is a free lance distributor of telecom systems. I asked him how business was going. He said that business sucked and he was only selling a few mod's and no new systems. I said "Welcome to the Bush economy". He had no comeback so I continued knowing that I had hit a raw spot. I said don't worry, the trickle down theory will work. It just takes time because the stuff that trickles down is very viscous, you know the stuff that always flows down hill is what trickle down from republicans.

He was speechless. To appreciate this you would really have to know him. He is a smart ass who always is poking fun at others. I have never seen him so tongue tied.

1. Losing one's work status is very humbling indeed
I know people that still don't understand just how bad it is out there. They are in jobs where the economy has not affected them - so far.

4. I always tell them to check the numbers....
When they start the same old Clinton/Hillary/Lewinsky blah blah blah crap I tell them to check the numbers and get back to me.

The numbers on unemployment, new jobs being created vs. being lost, the deficit,Americans being killed on a daily basis in Iraq etc...

Keep staring at them without saying a word. LOL,what the hell can they say? Bush is doing a great job in all sectors?? They know the truth....

6. This is mean, but...
my Repuke boss could lose his job and I can't wait. You'd have to know this guy. Typical privileged puke. Mom and dad paid for prep school, college and an apartment for a few years afterward. Then when he got married, to a wealthy woman of course, they came up with the down for TWO houses. Gotta have a vacation place, doncha know. So he won't suffer. But this guy is always trashing Dems. I think a nice, long stint on the couch would do him a world of good.

This is an amusing tale, but all I keep thinking is your poor niece! I wouldn't even want to have a one night stand with a repuke much less a lifetime!

9. I bit on the subject line...
I thought this post would be about something else. Still, good one. I've been using the Bush Economy line a lot.

10. haha
"I nailed a freeper at my family reunion" lead me to believe something else. Anyway, good for you. Most of those types can't think of a comeback when something reasonable is said.

13. I "nailed" my Freeper brother-in-law
at Easter. He started on about how wonderful Bush* was so I said loudly "I am *SO-O-O-O* GLAD the Iraqis are now free!" Everyone cracked up, and all he could do was mutter "Well, the *are* free"
