Coulter's Response to the Tillman News
Has anyone heard Ann Coulter's response to learning that Pat Tillman was against the Iraq War and liked Norm Chomsky. She said she did not believe it. Sean Hannity also claimed not to believe it. So are we the public not to believe the military men who were in Afghanistan with Tillman at the time and the people who knew him. Are we supposed to believe that all these people just got together and came up with a plan to make wild liberal claims that Tillman against the Iraq War and read Chomsky. What happened did all his friend in the military all decide to become liberals, or were they liberals all along.

Everyday I find myself saying Republicans are crazy. Why are we not supposed to believe the people who knew Tillman. I could understand Coulter and Hannity saying they did not believe this stuff about Tillman if it was coming from Democratic Congressman, but from what I have heard this is coming from the people in the Army that knew Tillman. I think those people knew Tillman better than Coulter and Hannity who probably never met Tillman. If you want to find this story you can go to www.crooksandliars.com. You might not want to use the link from this post in that my computer is infected with spyware and trojan horses. I hope to buy some anti-spyware/trojan horse software this weekend.

1. Ann Coulter is...
an amoeba-like organism on the evolutionary scale. Hannity is just a dumbass.

3. Ann Coulter on Pat Tillman
http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/coulter123004.asp

<snip>

American hero Pat Tillman won a Silver Star this year. But unlike Kerry, he did not write his own recommendation or live to throw his medals over the White House fence in an anti-war rally.

Tillman was an American original: virtuous, pure and masculine like only an American male can be. The stunningly handsome athlete walked away from a three-year, $3.6 million NFL contract with the Arizona Cardinals to join the U.S. military and fight in Afghanistan, where he was killed in April.

He wanted no publicity and granted no interviews about his decision to leave pro football in the prime of his career and join the Army Rangers. (Most perplexing to Democrats, he didn't even take a home movie camera to a war zone in order to create fake footage for future political campaigns in which he would constantly palaver about his military service and drag around his "Band of Brothers" for the media.)

Tillman gave only an indirect explanation for his decision on the day after 9/11, when he said: "My great grandfather was at Pearl Harbor, and a lot of my family has gone and fought in wars, and I really haven't done a damn thing as far as laying myself on the line like that." He said he wanted to "pay something back" to America.

He died bringing freedom and democracy to 28 million Afghans — pretty much confirming Michael Moore's view of America as an imperialist cowboy predator. There is not another country in the world — certainly not in continental Europe — that could have produced a Pat Tillman.

11. Coulter's sorry bag of tricks is getting pretty shopworn
(just like Coulter herself,)

We see that the real motivation for this "tribute" was to take time out from her over-the-top gushing for some Kerry bashing. I'm sure Tillman would have wanted the occasion of his death to be used in this manner by Ms. Coulter. I'm sure if his surviving loved ones read this it eased their grief considerably to see his death being put to good use by a psychotic rightwing hack.

It sounded kind of familiar though...hmmmm...let's see...

I got it! It's just like when Barbara Olson died, and Ms. Coulter wrote exactly the same piece, except her sappy ramblings were interrupted to launch an attack on Clinton.

Gee, Ms. Coulter, if you really want to maintain your standing as a B-list hack you might have to stop rewriting the same shitty column.

5. Coulter And Sean The Lad Bump Into Orwell
Looks like both the Coulter creature and Sean the lad are practicing what George Orwell would have called the inability to face unpleasant facts. Like typical right-wing ideologues they'd rather put ideology ahead of objective analysis, no matter what the disastrous consequences.

8. Tillman was a free thinker and an iconclast
And why would the guys that served with him lie about him and his beliefs? His own brother chastised the people here in Arizona who were trying to aggrandize him in the media and inpute religion into his legacy. Apparently, Pat wasn't religious Pat isn't with God,'' he said. "He's f -- ing dead. He wasn't religious. So thank you for your thoughts, but he's f -- ing dead.'' was what his brother said. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2004/05/04/SPG5K6FD091.DTL

I think his brother would know better than anyone. So the fundies should just shove off on him. Leave him alone and let his family be.

9. This is just more of the neocon cycle: Spin, lie, rather, rinse, repeat...
My husband and I were flipping through right-wing hate radio tonight.

We were both laughing our asses off at the unbelievable, outrageous lies being spewed.

The guy sitting in for Michael Savage used verbal gymnastics to insist that DeLay really hadn't been indicted, but was only "a defendant in an indictment." We listened to Limbaugh insist that there weren't even close to 100,000 people at the anti-war demonstrations in DC. We just finished listening to Ann Coulter spew her inane comments.

As far as we can tell--at this point--the right wingnuts aren't even engaging in spirited debate anymore. They're just flippin lying their asses off. They're making it all up as they go along.

I'm sure Ann DOES believe that Tillman liked Chomsky and was against the Iraq war. She knows it. She understands the sources are credible. Her job isn't to disseminate news and tell the truth. Coulter, like Limbaugh, Hannity and others--is supposed to shill for the Republicans and bamboozle their supporters into parroting their lies until the lie becomes truth.

Ann's tactics with the Tillman issue--are to squelch the story. So, she lies and waves off the truth. She makes light of it and dismisses it to stop the truth from seeping through.

These rightwingnuts have gone from obnoxious, acerbic debate---to free falling into their own smelly piles of lies. They are all lying sacks of dung. They don't care about the truth or about rational discourse or political debate. They care about spreading a propagandist, lie-filled campaign of hate and destruction that will benefit the corrupt thugs on their side and crush the truth seekers on the liberal side.

That's what's going on. And it's only going to get worse.

13. Agreed - coulter & her ilk may know
Tillmas's opposition to bush policies but those who swallow her spiel do not - they couldn't understand how anyone could oppose these policies, read Chomsky and still care enough about the USA to enlist. Wingnuts would never do this - they won't even go and fight in a war they support. Tillman was a complex guy and I must confess that I don't fully understand his motives even after reading a nice article about him and his family in the sunday paper but I do kind of admire him.

14. Ann Coulter knows as much about Pat Tillman as that vile Malkin
professed to know the thoughts of Casey Sheehan. These two harpies would be shocked to find out what a great many of the troops think about Iraq and about the fine folks who sent them there. Not to mention the Corporations. Many of the troops absolutely loathe the KBR people.

20. If this is really true about Pat Tillman,
then it wouldn't surprise me if powerful people wanted him dead. He could have had the potential to become a nearly unstoppable political force.

I haven't been following this story, and this is the first that I've seen of it, but that was what struck me right away.
