One of the worst bumper stickers I've seen recently.. A peace sign made
from a B-52 bomber (seen from above or below) with a circle around it.
This was on a car that had more of the usual yellow ribbons on it.
I didn't see it really close but I assume the message was something to the effect of "peace through bombing people into annihilation".
Wife also saw one on some idiot's pickup truck that said something like "Nuke their ass/Take their gas." I'm sure we can be counting on that guy to enlist to go fight in Iraq.
Strategic Air Command (SAC) used to have the motto 'Peace is our Profession'. It was changed in the 1990's to 'War is our Profession, Peace is our Product'.
It was also said that the unofficial motto was... "Peace is our Profession, Nuclear War is just a Hobby"
2. Uncalled for hatred gives the neoclowns power and they know
it... hence the boogeyman is lurking around every corner... and if there aren't any, we will manufacture some by bombing someone for little or no reason.
4. My family still vividly remembers the B-52s over South Vietnam.
My parents are South Vietnamese. Most of the bombs dropped on Vietnam were dropped in the South. My mother isn't one for knowing the names of US warplanes or the types of war machines in the US arsenal; she isn't a military type, but if you showed her a silouette of a B-52, she'd recognize it as clear as day.
