Why the Recall Is Bad News for Bush
Check out this latest NY Times article on the success of the recall.

There was one big reason for the recall: THE ECONOMY.

Folks, California ain't the only state that's hurtin'. EVERY state is hurtin'. And Bush is going down with Davis in 2004.

http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/07/national/07CND-RECA.html

EXCERPT:

Californians are deeply pessimistic about the state's economy, with only about 20 percent calling it good or excellent, according to a survey of more than 2,800 voters conducted through the morning and afternoon by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International for The Times and other news organizations. Last November, when Mr. Davis won re-election, more than half the voters characterized the state's economy as good, according to a poll conducted by The Los Angeles Times.

1. Nope. It was racism. And the media. And Diebold.
People didn't vote because of the budget, but because they wanted the damn immigrants off the streets (and the partnership act defeated). It happened last year, will again next year. Sorry.

2. Not really gor nor bad
I don't see any correlation to Bush on this vote. If this is a problem for anyone it would be Boxer because the Pugs will have a star campaigner with them.

i dont think its gonna make too much a diff for bush, if it does it will only do so if ah-nuld blames bush when he cant(and he wont, im predicting it now) balance the budget... thats the only way i can see it coming back on bush, otherwise its just gonna make ahnuld look like a dumbass.

the only reason i think this is because he never really endorsed the recall/ahnuld/or any of that stuff... he refused to comment, thats the first smart thing hes done ever, i think, because if it backfires, he can say he never supported it... ect, however, if he had supported it, it could backfire big time.

3. CA's Economy = Bush's Economy
stupid people couldn't see that?

There's going to be major blowback in CA because of this coup. Just like Jr.'s theft of national election - nothing good has come from it, absolutely nothing.

The way this came about is a bad sign for CA...
