It's official...American's officially most stupid people on Earth...
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 10:35 PM by Nazgul35
After decades of crappy public education, the American public has become so inept at practicing democracy that they have gone two in a row in electing vapid wastes of human skin to high offices in this country. And make no mistake, Bush will do everything in his power to ensure that Arnold succeeds...thus putting the gem of the Democratic Party into play...

Part one of two has come true for me....if Bush wins re-election in 2004, i'm gonna take Ann Raynd's advice and leave this fucking pitiful excuse for a country and move to a more enlightened country...where the people are not as dumb as wood...

Having to teach the yuppie larvea in a big ten college, I can tell you for a fact, that 98% of them are unable to grasp basic cognitive skills, this drive to nickle and dime our public schools has resulted in a people who don't even understand how their government works...the most basic question I get is what's going to be on the test...we have raised a generation of test takers....

get out now...don't allow a people who have become so complacent, so fat, so lazy to live off your skills and tax money....let's initiate the brain drain on the US!!!

edited for grammer and spelling...my excuse is stress...what's yours America!!! >:>

5. Brother! What will it take to get these morons to learn?
Once again the voters pick an imbecile without an agenda because they either think it'd be "cool" to have him for Governor or they think he's somehow like them. What a pathetic display of ignorance and mindless celebrity-worship. It tells me that the voters haven't learned a fucking thing, not even after two and a half years of GOP stranglehold. I'm now quite concerned that Bush and his loyal friends in the media will somehow manage to sweep away a string of nonstop lies and failures and secure re-election next year, seeing as how the people remain so stubbornly blind to what's going on around them.

It's not the fact Arnold was a well-publicized serial groper that is so nauseating about this (though it is nauseating) - it's the fact he didn't have a fucking clue about the economy, and it showed. He didn't have a fucking clue about how to manage the state, and it showed. He didn't have a fucking clue about government in general, and it showed. The American people continue to stubbornly cling to the sad, sick little myth that the "outsider with no political experience" can somehow achieve diddly-shit in office.

One might take comfort in this and say "Well, if Arnold fucks up badly enough then it will show the voters what a stupid mistake they made, and Bush/Rove will be out in 2004." Naah. Like a puppy whose nose is rubbed in it's own crap, the voters have been shown how stupid their mistakes were in the past. Many, many times. They were shown it with Nixon. They were shown it with Reagan. Then again with Bush the First. Then again with Bush the Second. The same theme being played out. Over, and over, and over. And yet the dummies out there who stumble their way into the voting booths just keep right on gleefully taping "kick me" signs to their backs, yammering about their precious tax cuts to the exclusion of all else, including logic or even reality.

Arnold will be a waste of space in the governor's office, his mistakes will be laid at the door of former Governor Davis, and the dipshits out there will keep right on truckin' along, forever eager to pull the lever for someone, anyone, who can tell them all kinds of fantasies like he won't raise income taxes or cut services, and will somehow lead their state out of a fiscal crises.

Fuck you, California (I exclude those Golden Staters with the sense to oppose this asinine hijacking of democracy). Don't bring that shit out on the national scene next November.

6. People vote on the PERSON, not the issues.
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 10:48 PM by tjdee
That's the message of this recall.

I'll be busting a gut here tomorrow when someone tries to badmouth Clark for having no "issues" page.

Americans, for better or worse, vote the PERSON first, issues second (or third, or fourth).

Democrats want to keep banging their heads against a wall, but that's what it comes down to. Luckily for us, we have some interesting people this time around.

Another thing.
Lieberman's state chair (Bustamante) can't win for himself, so Lieberman has NO CHANCE. He's going to keep sucking up airtime for himself, but if it isn't clear to him after tonight....

7. I teach at a Big Ten University too....
And politically speaking, I find that the students are almost sublimely ignorant, and naive, little more than mumbling drones of their moronic parents.

This nation is doomed, and that is probably a good thing in the long run.

Its just too bad that WE have to live through it.

Way to go, California!!!!!

8. It's official...American's officially most stupid people on Earth...
This is a terrible sentiment, and no way to win next year's elections.
America is a wonderful country and democracy is the best political system there is.

BTW, I teach elementary school, and I have a lot of respect for my students. I have to, it's the only way I can teach them anything.

You know... I agree.
But, unfortunately, because I love my son, I took time off to be with him... I got a divorce (he was a cheat) and had to go back to work in the worst economy in my adult life! I spent a YEAR looking for a fucking full time job. I found one. I'm making peanuts. How do you propose I move?
I'd LOVE to move.
I want my son to have a good education, health care (which is getting more arduous!), a sense of something less "cowboy." I'm in the South, for Pete Townshend's sake, not the Middle Ages!
So... how do we move? Where do we go?
I'm going to England next month (field trip). I guess I'll put out feelers. Hey... at least they know which of their news is tabloid and which isn't, eh?
