Recall opinion from my 82 year old father...
Sitting here in Cal-i-fornia feeling sorry for myself. My liberal Democrat dad said that some of the things Gray Davis did in the last few months and weeks personally made him sick and might have done Davis in. When Davis signed the driver's license bill after rejecting it two times, it looked nakedly transparent and desperate. Also, increasing the car tax was the worst thing he could have done. People vote with their wallets. I had also heard that Diane Feinstein had warned him during the energy crisis to not panic and not get hooked into those long-term contracts. Apparently Gray was not one to take advice. Who knows? All I know is that I'm depressed as hell. Maybe there's some lessons in this for us, but I'm not sure what it is. One thing is for sure, if the recall suceeds, it's with the complicity of the Democrats who voted for it. Seems to me the Democrats are more likely to vote for Republicans than vice-versa. Makes me so sad.

1. Well, buck up.....it ain't over 'til it's over. Davis certainly wasnt the
most appealing candidate, but then Aunold made me want to barf. There just is something angry going on in California and across the nation. It will sort itself out.

Besides, until the last vote is counted.....do we really know? And, how do we know it wasn't "fixed."
Voters should bring a suit agains MSNBC/CNN for all the free air time AUNOLD got in "wall to wall" coverage on those networks anyway. It was a blitz of free airtime. Until we Dems get our leadership to fight back hard...we will suffer these bizarre occurances. It's a wake up call "IF" he wins. "IF."

Thanks for sharing your story.

2. Thanks for listening, koko
In a few weeks the Arnie hoopla should die down and then we can get on to campaign '04.
