Scotty playing the blame game?
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 08:15 AM by REACTIVATED IN CT
<snip>White House press secretary Scott McClellan on Saturday rejected the notion that there were problems with Houston's evacuation and said Bush was told it had gone well. He also stressed that states are responsible for evacuations, although the federal government has a role to assist local officials. <snip>

1. Gosh who knew?
You know it seems like nothing is actually Bush's fault according to old Scotty. Sometimes it seems like he puts politics over his need to inform the people.

2. BREAKING: Scotty living in deep denial!
As someone else posted, don't they watch the news, these asshats? We all saw with our own eyes the problems encountered with Houston's evacuation. This flies in the face of reason, though I s'pose that's nothing new.:banghead:

4. Look - All problems are the responsibility of the local officials while all
successes are due the FINE job of the Federal Government and we must not forget these facts.

5. I think New Orleans evacuated 80% of the city residents
before the storm. I don't recall any news stories about traffic jams and lack of fuel. Hmmm....Did the locals do a good job after all?

6. If the evacuation of Houston went well then I am the Tooth Fairy....
and why did someone have to tell bush it had gone well? I thought he was at the command post and in charge of overseeing everything with his eye on the whole situation.
