Hey Freepers: Your Rally Was A Total Bust
Even if the MSM won't come out and actually say it, we will.

The entire world is laughing at you and your pathetic turnout.

Today proved the tide has turned dramatically. Patriotic Americans want this senseless war ended.

It's over.

You lost.

America won.

1. I just posted a link to a story claiming 400 people attended the Pro-War
rally:

http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2005/09/25/national/a113202D72.DTL

also, there were only about 100 counter protesters on Saturday (and I'm being generous). They were all good little Sean Hannity wannabes. :)

4. Maybe some left by the time we came through, but Hubby and I
counted, No joke, 28 freepers on the sides of the march. And I am including the 4 male Anti-Choice demonstrators in that tally.

3. 400 -what a flop
Organizers of Sunday's demonstration acknowledged that their rally would be much smaller than the anti-war protest but had hoped that as many as 20,000 people would turn out.

It's over. I've never seen a mandate disappear so quickly

7. And, let me just tell you: Do NOT let anyone tell you that there were
fewer than 500,000 people at Saturday's march! There were people as far as the eye could see - wall to wall people throughout the entire route of the march! The streets were filled with people. And, people were perched on walls and street posts, leading chants and holding signs. I've never experienced anything like it in my life. There were not "just 2,000 people" there. It was absolutely AMAZING.

9. CNN actually said
600,000. Unity and numbers - that's what matters now.

12. That's a lot of people! And, those people speak for a lot more than
just themselves :)

6. Their war in Iraq was washed away by a Hurricane named Katrina..
Reality has slapped most of America up the side of the head. It is unfortunate there are still about 400 of them that still believe we are dying so Iraqis can be free...

11. And not just the war in Iraq, but their whole belief system that
blivet** is the ONLY one that can keep us safe and rescue us when we are in danger. He has shot himself in the political foot, along with anyone that tries to hang on to his coat tails. He proved that four years later he didn't find WMD, the true terrorists behind 9/11, or a clue. He couldn't actually save anyone from anything. He can't actually comfort anyone due to any stress without a "hollywood red carpet moment" being created from Electric Light and Magic types of stage dressers.

I really think one turning point was when that wonderful doctor in Mississippi who told Cheney to his face what so many of us have wanted to ... and the earth didn't stop spinning. He wasn't "disappeared" and the press actually covered it without calling him names. He was our voice and now they know that we are out here in mega-numbers. The worm has turned on all fronts. Terror, war, the economy, no-bid contracts, poverty, class discrimination, ... all of it is now open for discussion.

They must be very afraid now, and we all know how dangerous a trapped, rabid animal can be. Eventually, someone will collar them and examine their brains for disease. And we will be proven right again. I just hope that it can happen before we lose many more lives waiting.
