The "Bush getting in the way" video
Chimpy at last is being forced to answer questions.

I guess the era of "no followups" and "only one question allowed" is over.

35. It's nice to see Chimpy actually doing his frickin' job
It took him poll numbers in the toilet and billions of dollars needed because a fraction of that money would have prevented the Katrina/New Orleans damage in the first place...

So the AWOL pussy is going to hang out with the military in NorthCom. Gee, I wonder what photo ops are going to happen from that...maybe he's really on his way to a GOP fundraiser...

5. Oh it's rich. That reporter is fired...
"Sir? Sir? What good can you do going down to the hurricane zone? Won't you just get in the way?"

But he's going to "observe the interface of the military" from Colorado Springs. Yeah. Go get 'em tiger!

Wuss. ..

6. That reporter is NBC White House correspondent David Gregory
One of the few who has actually done his job the past five years. He's stepped the heat up even more since the Rove thing broke -- he was PISSED about being lied to that "Rove had nothing to do with it".

Hasn't been fired yet, don't think it'll happen anytime soon.

14. He was 2 seconds away
from losing it and coming after Gregory.....

he turned sharply and faced the reporters and then regained his composure, then, he had to think of something to say as a reason for coming back to the cameras.

I think some of the speculation I've seen here is right....he's on the verge of losing it at any time....

and one day he will. Either they keep him away from the public and securely in his bubble and his numbers continue to stink, or they risk sending him out to appear "in charge."

Finally the weasly bastard is being flushed out to a blood thirsty press pool.

on edit: Hi, Cat! :hi:

25. I heard the audio when it happened, but just watched this video...
and I must say our fearless leader looks and sounds terrible. He says "uh..." before every line, and has trouble articulating what exactly he is going to witness at CentComm. What a crock. I suppose he's always sounded like this, but I think he's lost a fair bit of that cocky bluster he used to have.

Bush's comment on tribal sovereignty creates a buzz

By LEWIS KAMB
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER REPORTER
Speaking at the Unity: Journalists of Color convention in Washington, D.C., last Friday, President Bush, responding to a question about what tribal sovereignty meant in the 21st century, said: "Tribal sovereignty means just that; it's sovereign. You're a -- you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity."

To many Native Americans -- and Democrats, alike -- the president's answer spoke volumes about what they see as his ignorance of Indian issues. And to many, the operative word in Bush's response was the verb "given."

30. Exactly!
He's so painful to watch, what an idiot. I really wonder what the true deal is with him: is he stupid, stoned, or is he trying to sound "folksy"? Every once in awhile I've heard him have brief lucid moments, but almost all of the time he sounds like he is just struggling to connect brain to mouth.

34. I'm corn-fused. Where in the world is the President?
And, while I'm at it, where's Bianca?

Seriously, I'm confused. I watched the video earlier today; I thought he was heading to Colorado, but in the video they made it look like he was heading to Texas to "watch the local and state officials" or some bullshit like that.

SO, where the hell is he? What did he decide to do?

Someone please enlighten me.

And George got all snippy with him then, too. It's weird, because Gregory isn't the most leftist person in the world--he just really seems to rub Georgie the wrong way.
