Bush decrees Protect trad. Marriage wk oct 12-18: near Matt Shepard Death

In his latest display of pandering to his base, President Bush has declared the week of Oct. 12-18 protect traditional marriage week. It starts the day after of National Coming Out Day and is near the anniversary of when Matt Shepard died, which was on Oct. 8th.

By the way ... what exactly is he "protecting" marriage from? Does he think that if a gay couple gets married, all straight couples are going to burn their marriage licenses? :eyes:
