BBVreport.org site is LIVE - Please pay a visit and post comments
Test it out, let's get any boo-boos out before tomorrow.

By the way, we put an exhortation to hit MoveOn.org with support for the action to reform electronic voting.

Also included are several more links.

There are sections for problems, but also for observations and general discussion about the election.

Oh, and on the survey (all of three people, but hey) the "say no to recall" option is ahead by a country mile.

http://www.BBVreport.org

Tell your friends -- circulate among your email list -- blog it -- and above all, let's have an honest, constructive election tomorrow. Let us show that it is the PEOPLE who insist on running this country.

so far. the date of the recall election is Oct 7, 2003. You have Nov 7, 2003

Oh well, only our mothers are perfect.

Safari had some problems with the forum page. Camino and Mozilla did fine. I sent a bug report to Apple. Possibly a conflict with PHP nuke.

12. Way to go Bev!
Glad you got your sites back up and running. Keep up the good work. Just started reading the book from your site. Good work.

I went to a Molly Ivins book signing here in Austin tonight and during the Q&A, we managed to get a question in about black box voting, and Molly said be very afraid and be very vigilant. She mentioned Diebold as a very shady player and she even mentioned O'Dell giving his quote about how he would do everything he could to deliver the vote for bu$h.
She said we gotta raise some hell on this.

It took us an hour to figure out how to herd them into the "Troll Cave" section. Finally figured it out, but three of them got deleted first.

27. Call in phone numbers are at the website (and another testimonial
from a voter).

workingassetsradio.com

(they also have a phone number for lawyerst to call if you have a problem)

Oakland voter called in and said that many of her friends didn't receive their absentee ballots. Said she didn't, that she went into vote, she was told she had to get in the A B or C line, which is designated on your sample ballot, which she didn't bring with her, so it took a while to get her letter (slowing up the process).

On the way out she asked the poll workers if they tested the Accuvote ToughShits, and the poll workers sheepishly admitted they hadn't.

read the post about voting irregularities in California. Basically, this documents that we are back to "losing" the registrations of people who are dem, green and independent.

More here: http://www.BBVreport.org

Understand another thing: With provisional ballots, you can lose the anonymity of your vote.

29. Gawd this pisses me off!!! You're hearing everywhere about problems
with voting!!! This is going to discourage people all over the country from turning out for elections!!

Bev, thanks so much for all you've done. We've got a long way to go with this battle, but at least for now, we've got some visibility on how very serious the problems are.

30. Gave BBVReport.org a BIG plug today on our IE AMERICA Top of the Hour News
Bev and pals,

Just so you know - I gave BBVReport.org a BIG plug today on our IE AMERICA Top of the Hour News read.. it gets out to a lot of folks.. Brick and Mortar stations, satellite, etc.

also forwarded a vote complaint to your site.. looks like they are using PROVISIONAL Ballots a LOT..

Might want to check into that..

Here's the copy I wrote/read, don't know what will get chopped out -- it's a three minute news spot total..

**************
California voters can submit voting experiences or problems today at a site Sponsored by Black Box Voting, an organization working to force touch screen voting machine makers to use computer code that is absolutely secure.

Author Bev Harris, of Black Box Voting.com has claimed to have documented what appears to be hundreds of potential security flaws in the machines that could lead to "realtime" improper tallying of votes - coupled with the fact that the voting machines do not generate any sort of receipt or paper trail should a recount be necessary.

They are asking anyone to report any unusual or egregious problems to BBVreport.org. The BBV team will also contact the media and direct them to the scene of the action.
