Contact Senators Harkin and all the guys from the Dakotas. Organic farming is HUGE there and of major concern, since farmers vote bigtime. In the beef industry, they see organic and/or natural as the only way to survive against the mass markets in Texas, Kansas, etc. I am contacting Harkin's office, but if you know anyone in the Dakotas, get them on this. There is some good news: If even one Senator calls them on this as not part of the appropriations process, it will go to a roll call vote and require a super majority of 61 votes. Which they don't have. So you can really make a difference on this one. If it comes to a roll call, the mysterious sponsors will probably pull it back.
