...the Emmys Sunday night in LA, so they didn't have the time to get back to NYC and get a new show up.

From the reviews I've read, his memoir seems to be much more interesting than many other celebrity autobios.

8. I was just remembering a bad D-list movie Bill Maher was in, long B4
he was on "Politically Incorrect." It was called "Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death." In it, some amazonian women in a jungle in California have subjugated a group of men, who are called "The Alan Aldas." Alda was such a symbol of male feminism at that time (as was Phil Donahue). Maher played an Indiana Jones parody. Check it out if you can -- it's completely ridiculous, but if you're drunk and with a lot of friends. Adrienne Barbeau is in it, too!
