TRIFECTA - only 1 to go
HEE-HAWWW - almost time to raid Social Security, and shove another tax cut through

remember the Trifecta of 2001? September 11, hurricanes hitting Florida and the economy in the dumper?

Well - we're almost there again. We have the Iraq-mess and Katrina. Although most people contend that the economy is "still" in the dumper - GOPers maintain it's doing better...

Winter is coming, fuel prices are higher and probably will go higher - so that should send the economy "official" into the dumper

and what's bush* gonna do? Same thing as last time - give tax cuts to his buddies, cut aid to those who need it most and raid every bank account he can - because it's fair, it will jumpstart the economy and trickle down to us poor folk

1. I heard it on NPR already!
Yesterday. They said the GOP will pursue those tax cuts because they are necessary to continue the economic recovery!

I almost crashed my car. :grr:

3. If they tell that LIE enough times will people eventually believe it?
:banghead: I guess so. They talked trash about the economy in 2000 and mentioned recession enough times to actually *bring it on*. :argh: Oh and btw, I've been meaning to thank the Overpaid media Whores for propping up (p)Resident PR, making him look like he actually does the job his neoCONmen stole for him, while the facts actually point in a different direction. Without their constant spin, Pinhead** wouldn't be where he is now. Bush Sucks and they keep telling us he doesn't. Who ya gonna believe, them or your own lying eyes?

4. MEME du jour: "Tax cuts HURT the economy"
Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 06:19 AM by BlueEyedSon
Yes, the federal govt knows better how to spend your money than you do, you (i.e. the average american) would only waste it on junk food and crappy entertainment. The govt however can prioritize public services (police, fire, etc) and public works (bridges, levees). Are you gonna DONATE to build roads and sewage plants? Maybe the local cop should send you a bill directly.....

5. The trifecta I worry about...
In 1991, FEMA made a list of the worst 3 (potential) disasters in the U.S.
They were:
1. Terrorist attack on NYC
2. Hurricane in NO causing levy collapse
3. Earthquake in San Fransisco Bay Area causing bridge colapses.

BushCo has had 2 out of three, and screwed up the response on both.

9. I have no idea.
I had the article forwarded to me by email. It's just the original list of 'things FEMA needs to worry about'.

10. I think flu might be the #3
no way the Bush admin can prevent or deal with a deadly flu epidemic. Remember those flu shot shortages last year, anyone think they've learned from the near miss?
