Why has only one poll come out since Leakgate broke?
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 05:42 PM by diplomats
Does anyone else think it strange that the only poll re: Leakgate came out a week ago and none have been released since? That one poll, an overnight one, showed overwhelming support for an independent counsel. I remember a poster here said CNN was supposed to have a poll late last week but I never saw it anywhere. Hmmm...

2. I don't think it's dying
but I'm suspicious there's been no follow-up to that ABC poll. During the Lewinsky scandal, there were polls every second.

3. Good question!
It seems there is more criticism of Bush lately. I wonder if it is because the media's internal polling is showing bad news for Bush and they want to get on the "right" side of the fence before revealing the polls?

5. I wonder, too, if the polls are bad
Another thing to consider: If the polls show bush dropping into the 40s, GOP legislators might start abandoning the WH and call for a special counsel.

4. Yeah
That's wierd. Seems like there were one or two polls coming out every week until this started. Another observation: Ann "Treason" Coulter has been conspicuously absent during all of this. Hmmmm.

6. and I've heard liars say that their
readers (Detroit Free Press editor) or constituents (some dumbass congress white guy) don't care about this story.
That nobody outside the Beltway cares.

Almost word for word, these two. Think they got a memo from kkkarl?
