Does Bush have a Weasel Reflex?
I'm beginning to thing W stands for Weasel.

I mean, think about it. Every time he gets cornered, he says something you would expect from a fairly stupid weasel. You know, dishonest like a weasel but not clever like one.

For example, Bush gets cornered with a question on Enron and says "Mr. Lay supported my opponent." Then he gets nailed with Harken insider-trading questions at his "corporate responsibility" press conference (remember corporate responsibility?), and he comes out with his famous "accounting isn't always black and white" gaffe.

Lately he said, absent any evidence, "We've found the weapons of mass destruction." And yesterday it was "Saddam wouldn't let in the inspectors."

The guy is just a "dumb weasel" with a hair trigger. No wonder he's afraid to hold press conferences.

4. I've always thought bush was below the weasel.
bush needs to have a "deja vu" during the 2004 election campaign when the Dems play back all his weasely retorts.

5. On behalf of the Mustelid AntiDefamation League --
I demand that you cease and desist with these disrespectful comparisons of His Chimperial Highness to the members of the weasel family! The weasel is a noble animal compared to any member of this adminstration!

(Just between you and me though -- there are *some* commonalities: they both operate by stealth, go through killing frenzies, and sleep most of the time.)

Weasels are cunning AND highly intelligent -- but smirky is merely cunning sans the smart bit . And no weasel would ever lie like that -- not even to an extremely naive bunny -- there is honor among weasels, not among the smirkistas.
