He is as deluded as the Bush regime is, and many Americans, in thinking that Iraqi opposition to US occupation will dissipate once Saddam's fate is sealed. The Iraqis view the Americans as colonial occupiers, in the same way they saw the British.

This war won't end until the American troops are withdrawn, immediately with a semblance of honor, or much later in disgrace.
