TPM: Josh Marshall on Bush/CIA Leak and FOX News
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/

On the CIA Leak

"In the end, I strongly suspect that Bush will rue the day he didn't do the right thing on day one."

on FOX News:

"And they were off to such a good start. Unless I'm mistaken Tony Snow led off Fox News Sunday this morning by calling Valerie Plame a CIA "analyst." In other words, rather prejudicing the question by introducing it packaged in a bit of misinformation"

1. Josh has been dead-on rooting out this whole affair...
From the start! It's a great thing to have a brilliant mind--and a brilliant nose for a story, complete with insider connections--like Josh on our side! :D

Thanks to Josh, we're learning the "real untold story" of Dub's Administration on several fronts!

B-)

2. Great observation
I always find it interesting when specific words are quick indicators of media member's bias on various issues.

"CIA Analyst" > definitely on side of Administration

Heavy use of the word "coalition" > definitely on the side of the Administration (even though 90% of the "coalition" are US forces)

"Aspirin Factor" > Clinton "haters". The the Sudan factory was a pharmaceutical plant that could have easily made bio weapon precursors.

Etc.

3. More than an indication of "bias." It's an indication of coaching.
Rush, FOX, and "administration officials" often begin to use the same manipulative, misleading language at the same time. I'm just curious how the WH coordinates it with the media operatives - do they talk to them on the phone... email them... use messengers... do they use code???
