HAHAHA! The positioning of bush was hilariously bad! The building dwarfs
bush, and combined with the slightly upward camera angle it made bush look about a foot shorter.

Better yet was the right side. The horizontal line caused by what appears to be the top of a wall (where the light area meets the dark) was at neck level. This line subconsciously divides the screen in half horizontally. As bush bobbed and weaved, this gave the eerie feeling that bush's head was severed. This was accentuated by bush's shirt being almost identical in color to the background, and his shirt buttoned tight to his neck. His flesh-colored disembodied head, trying desperately to stay above water, swayed in a sea of blue.

To top it off, bush had a statue of a horse growing out of the back of his head. if bush was positioned to cover more of the horse, it would have seemed natural. But he just covers the hooves, making it look like the horse was attached to his head.

I feel sorry for anyone who did drugs before watching this speech. They must have been totally creeped out.

Here's a thread by nonconformist that has a good image of bush tonight:

15. I didn't notice the clock. Was it really stopped? That's great!
I guess Rove is too busy figuring out how to divvy up 300 billion dollars to be bothered with these details anymore.

4. What do you mean, George (shrub) Bush is only 28 inches tall
....that allows him to perch very nicely on Dick Cheney's lap, plus his wooden head is 10 1/2 in diameter

9. They lit up the backdrop like Tinkerbell's castle at Disneyland
It had a plastic amusement park quality. Totally contrived.

His speech was nothing but neon buzz. Ronald McDonald couldn't have looked more like a clown.

18. Olberman said tonight "Who's his advance man? Howard Dean?"
That was with regard to him showing his compassion to a bunch of oil company execs. in front of a Chevron sign this afternoon but this could qualify too.

Hey Howard is that you in the glasses and big nose standing behind Karl Rove?
