We can all use a little good news, so I wanted to share some great news that I read in last Sunday's paper. According to a recent poll reported in the Kansas City Star, the race for the US Senate seat between Claire McCaskill and Jim Talent is already a dead heat at 46-46!
These numbers show that Claire McCaskill is a candidate on the move while Jim Talent is a Senator on the run. Why? Because Claire's common sense approach to solving problems appeals to Missouri families who don't like what they see coming out of Washington today.
We all know how important this race is to Missouri families who are concerned about rising gas prices, disappearing Medicaid funding, and government spending that is spiraling out of control in Republican hands.
But Republicans, wanting to maintain a majority in the US Senate, understand the importance of this race, too. That’s why they have targeted Missouri as a “must-win” state.
