I will be watching Bush on ABC tonight >
Koppel is hosting and he has done an excellent lead up so far. I hope the Left Coast gets to see Primetime later tonight. He just explained that the special lighting was supplied by the WH own generators!

3. Isn't it good they had some to spare.
Think they could run a local grocery store? Keep a freezer operating, somewhere? Or an operating room?

But I'm being picky.

12. I wondered why he didn't fly some babies out of NOLA on Friday
I think there was enough room on AF1 for a few babies who needed to get to the hospital, don't you?

14. Now that Peter Jennings has left us, Koppel is my choice as well...
Not always fighting the good fight to the extent I wanted and (like Jennings) had to compromise far too much in my opinion..But, I have never doubted for a moment that these two highly intelligent journalists had ethical standards and were never in danger of truly "drinking the koolaid."

I hear Brian Williams has had an epiphany since Katrina. I hope that is true and I can only pray it lasts. We desperately need our media back.
