Bush taking blame seems hollow and fake to me

You realize, now that he's taken the blame (sort of, without apologizing), his spin masters and handlers will come out and say things like:

"It's in the past. Bush showed contrite remorse for the mistakes made by department heads on his watch. Those responsible are not in power. Time to move on and heal. Anyone who doesn't is using Katrina for political gain and will divide the country. Democrats need to stop doing that."

Just you watch! This is a hollow political move. I am predicting this. Stomach Fox News or that AM turd factory and tell me if I am right, if you can stand listening and watching for more than 20 seconds (unlike me).

Well the federal government was involved by neglecting to send federal aid when the Governor declared a state of emergency and sent a letter to the WH/Bu$h stating so. The feds responded by not responding until it was too late and by obstructing food, water, and supplies and cutting communication lines, among other things.

Therefore, Bu$h was criminally neglient.

We should/shall hold him accountable for his evil deeds of acts of omission.

He doesn't need to fool DU, nor does he want to. The Democratic base is untouchable to him. Nor does he need to fool his base, as they are loyal to him no matter what. He only needs to fool about 10% of the middle. Those are the ones it is aimed at.

13. Too much has been made of Bush admitting mistakes.

Personally...I could care less what he admits. It doesn't change anything. Making a big deal out of it only makes him look like some kind of hero because he FINALLY did it.

Bush taking responsibility for the Fed. Gov. incompetence shouldn't have anymore influence on anything than Scott Petersen admitting he killed his wife.

Forcing Brown's resignation doesn't make him a hero either. It doesn't change the fact that he hired incompetent people into very important positions.

The bar has been set so low on Bush, that he is praised for things that any normal person would do.
