Georgia's New Poll Tax Sorry if dupe, I know I missed it

In 1966, the Supreme Court held that the poll tax was unconstitutional. Nearly 40 years later, Georgia is still charging people to vote, this time with a new voter ID law that requires many people without driver's licenses - a group that is disproportionately poor, black and elderly - to pay $20 or more for a state ID card. Georgia went ahead with this even though there is not a single place in the entire city of Atlanta where the cards are sold. The law is a national disgrace.

1. Does anyone know how to get someone on the judiciary committee
to ask Roberts where he stands on voter ID cards that people have to pay for?

I think having to pay for the cards is a separate issue from having to have the cards.

But even if you don't have to pay for the cards, what should be the criteria for getting one?

My elderly mother moved to South Carolina and my brother had to make 3 trips to the place that issues ID cards before he was able to get one for my mother. My mother is white and wasn't even trying to vote--she needed the ID so she could get on an airplane to visit me. So I know first hand that getting ID is not easy. One of the problems was that my brother needed to find a bill addressed to mother at her address. That was hard to do because the bills don't come to her; they come to my brother.
