Right-wingers are really big babies. Crying about the rancor between the
parties. Look over the last ten years and see which party was the most spiteful, mean-spirited, hateful cheaters of the two parties. It certainly isn't the all-too pacifist Democrats. Now when the shit is about to hit the fan because the Republican run is over, Republicans are weeping on national news, lamenting the polarization of the parties.

When they dragged this country wrongly to war, they call those who resisted them unpatriotic for criticizing the Republican administration during a time of war; when they get caught with their pants down with NOLA, they say it's not the right time to set blame; and then they break every rule in the book to hide information that will show them for the incompetent, corrupt souls that they are.

I say, it's our duty as Americans to stand up to these reckless people. Don't stop just because they whimper. They're taking our rights away at the same time they're asking for mercy. Don't stop until someone is held accountable for the last ten years.

;-)

"Now when the shit is about to hit the fan because the Republican run is over, Republicans are weeping on national news, lamenting the polarization of the parties."

Indeed, "the backlash cometh."

2. our problem has been precisely as you describe it.
Our being polite = weakness
Our willingness to cooperate and communicate = a lack of conviction.
Our willingness to allow other ideas in = an opportunity to erase evolution and replace it with creationism
Our willingness to allow others to even step on the words of our speakers = inability to communicate.

14. We need to take this to the beginning.
The meanness between the parties was always there, but there was a line that was never crossed. Then something evil and corrupt took over during the Richard Mellon Scaife - Newt Gingrich -Drudge era. That's when things became revolutionary. The Dems just haven't realized yet that they're still fighting with clubs and rocks, while the Republicans are using semi-automatics.

24. I'd like to think that if Lincoln came back today
He'd be a liberal Dem. Just like that guy Jesus who the right wingers talk about so much.

Same goes for Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower and most every major Republican figure up until those who rose to power during or after Reagan. I doubt Barry Goldwater would be treated well by the GOP of 2005. The man did recognize a separation of church and state.

29. Goldwater said he had nothing against gays in the military
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs.cmu.edu/user/scotts/bulgarians/barry-goldwater.html

After more than 50 years in the military and politics, I am still amazed to see how upset people can get over nothing. Lifting the ban on gays in the military isn't exactly nothing, but it's pretty damned close

Everyone knows that gays have served honorably in the military since at least the time of Julius Caesar. They'll still be serving long after we're all dead and buried. That should not surprise anyone.

....

...Even Larry Korb, President Reagan's man in charge of implementing the Pentagon ban on gays, now admits that it was a dumb idea. No wonder my friend Dick Cheney, secretary of defense under President Bush, called it "a bit of an old chestnut"

....

Years ago, I was a lieutenant in charge of an all-black unit. Military leaders at the time believed that blacks lacked leadership potential - period. That seems ridiculous now, as it should. Now, each and every man and woman who serves this nation takes orders from a black man - our own Gen. Colin Powell.

Nobody thought that blacks or women could ever be integrated into the military. Many thought that an all-volunteer force could never protect our national interest. Well, it has, and despite those who feared the worst - I among them - we are still the best and will continue to be.

such a thing--they took such enormous delight at gloating, refusing to work as a team, not allowing any agenda items outside their sphere unless pressed by bad publicity...they have to be scared, because they just do not give a shit about anyone but themselves.

This is a Yamomoto moment for them. They've awakened a sleeping giant, and they are trying to do everything they possibly can to sing that pissed off creature back to sleep.

Too late!!!

10. I'm always blown away
When I hear people try to lay equal blame on the Dems for the polarization. The Dems didn't take over the airwaves of the entire country with hateful, venom-spewing conversation that had no purpose but to turn Americans against one another. The Republicans have called us "traitors", "America haters" and "baby-killers." And that's just how they refer to the rank and file Dems. The actual politicians get Anthraxed and Wellstoned. How many of their leaders have been assassinated? And they whine about polarization? :puke:

Clinton had a blow job, no one died. Bush lied about war, took MILLIONS away from NOLA's levee projects and THOUSANDS DIED. That's all 'I' need to know. He's a murderer and they know it. He's been exposed and they need to (their favorite phrase) JUST GET OVER IT!

30. The people who been chuckling when Limbaugh said
"Now don't kill all the liberals"? The people who thought Anne Coulter was cute for calling liberals "traitors" and pushing for a demonstration public execution of that poor nitwit kid Walker-Lindh with the express aim of shutting us up? The people who put "Liberal Hunting License" decals on their cars? The people who defended Kathleen Parker for advocating that the Democratic Presential candidates be lined up and shot? The people who laughed when Glenn Beck said he wanted to kill Michael Moore and snickered into their sleeves when Limbaugh slurred "Mayor N**g*r"? The people who thought it was funny when Cheney told a Senator to go fuck himself and who laughed at the image of the so-called nuclear option as a way of "castrating" the Democratic Party? The people who portrayed multi-amputee veteran Max Cleland as an anti-patriot and who passed out Purple Bandaids to mock John Kerry's purple hearts? The people who told West Virginians that the Democrats wanted to ban the Bible? The party that blocked most of Clinton's judicial nominees and spent half a billion dollars in an effort to impeach Clinton for an idiotic indiscretion that would best have remained quiet -- and complained the entire time about how embarrassed they were by the constant press coverage they themselves were drumming up about a blowjob? The people who said they wanted a balanced budget and drove up record federal deficits with the sole purpose of wrecking the federal government?

If these sons of bitches are whimpering, it's only because they're reloading. Turn your back on them and you'll be ventilated from behind.
