Tomorrow 1461 days will have passed..........since 9/11
Edited on Sun Sep-11-05 12:54 AM by Historic NY
Well, tomorrow Mr. Bush, is the 4th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Tower, that is 1461 days since that terrible day. I remember when you finally got some courage and showed up in NY promising to make those fellows responsible for this dastardly deed pay for it. I recall you with a blow horn, excuse me a bull horn standing there making this declaration to the entire world.

Tomorrow, 1461 days will have passed, we will hear the names of the fallen read once again, will see the tears of the families and probably hear some more chest beating from you. You promised to avenge the dead, made a pact with this country, that so far has produced the deaths of many serviceman & women and untold innocents.

For all your efforts, the man "most wanted", Osama bin Laden & al-Qaeda, continues to kill. Four years of war & conflict have produced little except death & destruction of both body & soul for this nation. Your "Photo opt or Vacation Presidency" style, has only spread misery both here and abroad. I am beginning to wonder if that is your goal. You talk about the "culture of life" but promote the "culture of death", perhaps you forgot your not the Almighty.

Four years have passed, 1461 days and does anyone really feel safer. The events of Katrina should make that perfectly clear. What has our government done except spend money like a drunken sailor on shore leave. We are no more able to cope than we were 1461 days ago. Our Homeland is not safe and bin Laden is still free.

Mr. President, you have failed the American people. You have tried to scare us with our fear and told us we must give up our freedoms to be safer. You have beaten down all that oppose you, all in the name of freedom. Well, Mr. President your "War on Terror" isn't really a war its an agenda of death. You have not accomplished much in the 1461 days. We ended WW II in less time and our country was fighting on two fronts. In 1227 days you will be gone and I say good riddance. I just have one question will Osama be gone too.

1. Very sad. I'll be watching the documentaries on TV. I hear some are good.
Hopefully a healing moment for us all.

5. I remember that day exactly.
Every detail. Especially walking down the street and running into a guy who worked on the 90th floor of one of the towers. He had overslept that morning.
