He just nailed CNN for allowing Novak to blow a firm that served as a CIA Front

1. Who did it?
Edited on Sat Oct-04-03 05:17 PM by Cush
Larry says he's been given names,& all he'll say that is two Senior Admin Officials, not lower tier guys.

Again says as a Registered Rep who voted for Bush, there is a pattern with the Admin at block the CIA

Says he didn't trust Reno on Clinton, and he doesn't trust Ashcroft on this

13. Interesting pattern
Note that all the agents who have come forward so far have made a point of saying that they're members of the Texas Fascist Party. The Dem agents have yet to speak up.

If this were a groundwell of internal outrage then one would expect the intelligence community a mixture of TFP and Dem members to rise up and make noise. The fact that no who has spoken up can be accused of partisan bias suggests very strongly that these agents are not speaking out on an ad hoc basis but rather are fighting an organized campaign.

If Rove isn't worried, he should be.

2. Larry to Bush: Stop attacking Wilson
Edited on Sat Oct-04-03 05:20 PM by Cush
thats not the issue, the issue is who outed Plame

Larry just put the smack down on the GOP person who was attacking Wilson, says Wilson's findings were backed up by a Marine General and the current Amb to Niger, a Bush apointee

5. Exactly!
The media NEEDS to focus on this part more ferociously! Wilson is peripheral to the story, it is the treasonous act of someone in the White House!

6. that's the only part I saw
and man, he was GOOD.

He wouldn't let the other guy spew his spin, and instead cut off the other guy by saying "It's time for this to stop. It's time to stop...paraphrase...character assassination and recognize the issue.

Just before he defended Wilson and said he had served under Bush I as well.

The CNN person let the Larry man have the last word, as well.

7. Johnson's Another Hero
The CIA is not gonna let this story fade and they're very much on message.

Johnson drilled that GOOP operative several new ones. Great points: if it's good for the goose then it's good for the gander...if Reno wasn't qualified to investigate, then Ashcroft isn't either. Don'tcha just love when Repugs are trapped in their own words?

Johnson hit on the partisan slander going on about Wilson...his guilt-by-association to "left wing groups". What the GOOPhead misses, as always, is that Wilson was ASKED by his regime to go to Niger...attempts to slime him on that have failed.

Looks like the more this regime tries to downplay, sleeze or ingore this issue, it is growing bigger. What we need now is a face to put to this scandal inside the Executive...be it Rove or Scooter Libby or whomever and the word "Traitor" attached...then the story will start really growing some legs.

10. I Wouldn't Try Jackson-Browne...
Or whatever Plame's CIA cover company was

Think his contribution to be a Pioneer in Bush '04 is being reviewed?

9. The Republican "debater" sickens me...
Says Wilson should just have completed his mission and kept his mouth shut, and since he works for a "far-left" anti-war group, he should expect this administration to question his motives. WHAT A CROCK!!! Do these people not realize that Wilson's "Far-left anti-war group" is proving that it has a better track record for accurate information concerning Iraq than bush&CO, and the matter of Wilson's political leanings is NOT THE ISSUE??? The issue is who committed a crime by outing Wilson's wife as a CIA operative?? In addition, when is Novak going to shut-up....first he names the agent, now he outs the CIA front company she was working for??? Is this man insane, or just incredibly stupid??

12. Insane and incredibly stupid
are not mutually exclusive. ;-)

Meanwhile, didn't the Repug sleazeball say Wilson disclosed confidential information he'd researched for the CIA? Yet another talking point...I believe I heard Wilson say he'd gotten an okay from the CIA to write his NYT op-ed.

These Repugs gotta be geniuses just to keep all their lies straight!

11. LJ was particularly sharp and scorched-earth toward CNN pushing Nofacts.
The newsreader, Carol Lin, tried to counter, saying like, 'Larry, you don't mean to say that CNN itself is harming th...', and LJ was right back in her vapid face, saying that's exactly what he is saying, that CNN does a disservice putting Nofacts on the air to continue the bushco campaign, and he watched Nofacts just yesterday outing a CIA front company, totally gratuitously, and that is serious and that is WRONG. Carol shut up.

It was very cool.

The chimp is learning what its like to be on the business end of shock and awe.

:toast:
