Some simple questions reporters should be asking Scott McClellan and...
Bush (if possible).

Scott, do you think the president has the authority to suspend the first amendment within the United States by barring reporters and photos from New Orleans?

Scott, what public purpose is served by withholding the number of the dead? If the White House has not ordered those processing the bodies to withhold that number, will he tell them to release it NOW?

Scott, do you believe the president can decide what information the public is allowed to have which stacks the deck in his favor when it comes to evaluating his job performance?

Scott, do you ever feel like an idiot repeating Karl's talking points that are dishonest and an insult to our and the American people's intelligence?

Scott, are you embarrassed that Halliburton is going to profit from this disaster the way they have from the Bush disaster in Iraq?

Scott, why did the president appoint several people to run FEMA with no emergency services experience? Is rewarding cronies more important than our safety?

Scott, why did the president come back from vacation to sign the unconstitutional Schiavo bill, but stayed on vacation and even when on campaign trips while the people in New Orleans were dying?

Scott, is the White House worried that since people know you are lying about warnings about New Orleans, that might realize you were lying about warnings about 9/11?

Scott, why did Vice President Dick Cheney stay on vacation until well after the disaster in New Orleans? Does he only care about war and contracts for Halliburton?

Scott, how many people have to be killed before President Bush will fire an incompetent appointee?

Scott, Former FEMA head Joe Albaugh is working as a lobbyist helping business cash in on rebuilding after the hurricane and disasters like this. Is there anyone in your administration who has pledged not to exploit there appointed positions for personal gain?

Scott, will the loss of public confidence in the president make him rethink his plan to invade Iran, or will you start the PR campaign and possible terrorist attack anyway?

Scott, if there is another major terrorist attack, will you claim again like you did with Katrina and 9/11 that the president had no way of knowing it was going to happen when in fact all he would have to do to know it was coming was do his job, listen to briefings and read the very short executive summaries given to him (or have Condi read them to him while she gives him his bath)?

Scott, is it true that the President throws profanity laced hissy fits in front of his staff? Have these gotten worse since Jeff Gannon stopped visiting?

Scott, will the President pardon Karl Rove and any other indicted or convicted members of his administration at the end of his term the way his father did for the Iran contra conspirators who violated the Boland Amendment and other laws?

1. Great questions! And now for Scott's reply:
We've got to move forward. The President is focused on moving ahead.
He's not looking back. He's trying to solve problems.

Blah, blah, blah...

2. I appreciate the question, but I cannot comment on that
because you're asking about an ongoing investigation; now is not the time for finger pointing since you are trying to play the blame game.

6. "...an ongoing question into crimes against humanity in the US."
"I cannot comment on that while the president is fighting extradition to the Hague for these ludicrous charges of ethnic cleansing. The president did not cause the hurricane. He merely responded to it in a way that solved several problems at once: he reduced crime, poverty and the threat from a pocket democrat/terrorist Resistance. That is the presidents prerogative, and he will exercise it again as needed."

5. "Under the PATRIOT Act, yes" will be replacing Scottie's
standard "won't play the blame game" reply.

7. And when things get especially tense, he'll give them all
that evil smile he smiles when he's trying to pretend everything is going JUUUUUUUST fine but underneath you know he's thinking "I'd like to take this journalist out and shoot him right now."

8. Great stuff yurbud. Nominated!
I'd add, how many more years, and how much more money will it take to secure the homeland and have Mr Bush take responsibility when things go wrong?

What do you think?

9. like War on Terror, we can never spend enough and never finish task
and no amount of money can make Bush take responsibility for anything--but it wold be fun to ask.
